Sylvester coming out first, interesting choice.

German crowds always make me chuckle. It's like family night at the Christmas panto.

Definitely Lorenzo's first round. Jabbed nicely. Let a few right hands go which were mostly blocked, and landed a nice body shot. He was more active.

Sylvester didn't get his jab going, and was reckless at times and got countered.

10-9 Lorenzo

Even round. Thought Sylvester caught most on the gloves.

TFFP
09-19-2009, 05:52 PM
Lorenzo landed a nice right. Another was blocked but the force sent Sylvester stumbling back, slight balance issue, but Lorenzo must be punching with some force.

Same again, Lorenzo is more active. A lot is being blocked. Sylvester a little more successful with jabs early, but he's getting more success to the body than head.

Lorenzo 20-18

Lorenzo 20-19.

They are mostly taking it in turns to punch each others guard. However, slight momentum shift in round 3. That was Sylvester's best round. Not a lot of quality, but he landed a good uppercut and generally seemed more in control whereas Lorenzo got wild.

29-28 Lorenzo

29-29. I like Sylvester's jab tonight, he needs to keep pumping it out to dissuade Lorenzo's activity, which might catch the judge's eye, even here.

TFFP
09-19-2009, 06:01 PM
Lorenzo outworking him in the first minute, backing him up

Now SS comes forward but not punching, gets countered

Not a lot of work in round 4, Lorenzo prodding the jab, SS inacitve.

Nice jab/bodypunch there by Sylvester.

Nice bodypunch by GL on the bell.

Gee, not a lot in that round. Lorenzo got a bit negative after the first minute and let SS take control, bad idea in Germany.

Sylvester 39-38. Keeping good distance. Lorenzo's punches too telegraphed and predictable.

Lorenzo drops that left too much.

TFFP

Round 5 is a good round for GL, he's way more active here. SS is keeping his defence tight but not doing anything in reply. The crowd cheer one or two punches but its not enough.

48-47 Loreno

Sylvester 49-47. Sylvester's guard is tight, Lorenzo's lazy. Cleaner punching from Sylvester. Not much in it though.

TFFP
09-19-2009, 06:08 PM
Lorenzo tends to do well for a round outworking and scoring half-punches, then gets lazy and undoes all his work. He gets nailed by a huge right in round 6 which takes it for SS. He landed a few more as the round progressed and sweeps it on clean punching

57-57 Even

Sylvester 59-56. Technically superior. Lorenzo's low left costing him.

The commentary is completely biased as one would expect.

Sylvester's better schooling is really starting to tell now. Lorenzo seems to be punching limp, there is nothing on them.

Sylvester is far tighter, punching straighter, and harder.

Round 7 is another easy to award for SS and it feels like the tide turned his way.

67-66 Sylvester

Sylvester 69-65. Lorenzo can't land clean. Not that Sylvester landed much either.

TFFP

Lorenzo comes out very strong, focusing on the body. A barrage of combinations! Havn't seen that for a while. Wow, his corner really told him to focus in on the body and he's doing it well.

SS fell asleep this round he ain't doing shit.

Comes back towards the end in the last minute but I have to give it to GL. Can't just ignore that bodywork no matter how the crowd cheers.

Sylvester 79-74. Lorenzo looks tired, disheartened and sloppy. Not that Sylvester is Ali out there, mind. Just solid and diligent. Lorenzo lets too many minutes slip away.

Bodysnatcher

Sylvester 89-83. I just think Sylvester is so controlled; better footwork, cleaner punching. Lorenzo loads up on Sylvester's gloves.

Honestly, I call German robberies a lot, I just think Sylvester's a much better boxer tonight.

Sylvester nicked it for me by a couple of rounds.

Lorenzo knows he's beat, looks disheartened at the bell. SS celebrates.

So was another judge. It was probably a draw or 1 point either way. 2 if you're being generous.

Nope, even Lorenzo knew he was beaten. I had it 115-113 but I gave a couple of tight rounds to Lorenzo... no way he wins 111-116 - that judge must have been hearing too much about German robberies lately.

Yeah I watched it again today and scored it Sylvester 116-112. Dodgy streams and alcohol aren't a good mixture...
