PBF looks for the safest fight that makes him the most amount of money. It's smart for him, but bad for boxing fans and ultimately bad for his legacy.

yes... it will be horrible for his legacy that hell be the first person to beat ricky hatton... something zoo and castillo couldnt do.
It was also a bad move to move up and beat oscar de la hoya... another bad move for his legacy, im sure taking on margarito would have been much better.

If bad for his legacy means he's held the WBC at every weight division he's fought in, he's held the Ring in most of them too - not to mention he's fighting guys that are either headed into HOF or could rightfully be considered ATG's at the weights he's fought them at... then fuck me, who gives a shit about legacy.
Hatton is a solid, undefeated, unbeaten contender who has dispatched Kosta Tszyu and JLC.
He's been spoken of for the last few years as a potential Mayweather beater, now the fight is here and people are getting cold feet because they didn't expect Mayweather to actually take it.
What next, Margo is still the most feared man and an unbeatable one? Fuck me, are you guys that stupid?
PBF nuthuggers sound a lot like RJJ nuthuggers pre-2003. :nut
PBF is indeed a wonderful talent. But you guys are delusional if you think he has actively sought out the best available competition. :deal

Mayweather fought judah, baldomir, DLH and now hatton. All in a row. he is lineal and ring world welterweight champion of the world. And if baldomir just peed his sanctioning fees he would ve hold all the belts now. He dominated the 135 division.
He already beated:
Manfredy, hernandez, corales, castillo twice, gatti, judah, baldomir and DLH.
And now he is taking on the undefeated ring and lineal junior welterweight champion of the world. Who is seen in some parts of the world as a top 3 P4P fighter and in the other parts at least top 10.
And people are still saying that he takes only easy fights?
damn. if he beats cotto mosley williams and berto after hatton, people will stay be like. he avoided margarito, mallignaggi, hell he even avoided julio cesar chavez jr. or kendal holt.

Floyds never been UNIFIED at any weight, didnt fight Casa or freitas at 30, DUCKED SPADAFORA who whipped him in the gym at 35, didnt fight Tszyu or Hatton AT 140, publicity stunt with wright, and hasnt made 1 defense at 47:nono He has a history of cherry picking and thats reality.
I commend him for now fighting hatton even though it should be at 140. Hopefully, he reverses the BS trend at 47 after that. The winner of SSm vs cotto, williams, and Cintron are out there, UNIFY and leave a legacy in the ring.
He does that?? He'll get the kind of respect he believes he desrves.

Why is this Bigtime9 character all getting gangbanged?
What's the story?
He claims, and by claims I mean BRAGGED, to be a super intelligent black man with 5 Masters degrees.
But if you read anything he says, it's apparent he's a child. He claims to own people debating, but when challenged or even asked a simple question, he runs off or just won't answer. He's a hypoctire and a fuckin moron as well.

Gee, I wonder if that's because both athletes have supreme talent that saw them both dominate several different weight classes and stake their claim to be considered some of the best ever boxers in the world?
Roy Jones Jr is an ATG, H2H would beat anyone from 160-175 - doubting that is just stupid.
The same will soon be said about Mayweather, from 130-147.
So PBF would beat a prime SRR at 147??? :-(

I can't stand PBF's personality, but I admire his skills. I've criticised him in the past, but his comp lately has been fairly serious.
The thing is, people were screaming for Hatton-PBF 2 years ago after Hatton beat Kostya, and PBF smashed Gatti.
Pbf offered to fight Hatton, at 140, in Manchester, but Hatton's camp turned down the fight, quite publicly. They did more than once too.
Now the fight is happening, and all of a sudden now people realize it's a one sided beating in waiting. People says it is unfair to fight at 147. But there are some things wrong with that....
First of all, Hatton is a former welterweight "champion". He "won" the WBA belt from Collazo. And this last time, it was Hatton who called out PBF, quite loudly on HBO after the JLC fight.
PBF is the lineal welterweight champ. Hatton called him out live on TV.
And people say PBF should move down to 140 to make it "fair" for Hatton.:rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl
The thing is, PBF could make 140 very easily, and I feel would give Hatton a worse beating at that weight. He'll be at his natural weight, faster, slicker, and maybe even more active.
But PBF is comfy at 147, with a even a brief excursion to 154 on his record. He is the main attraction, and he is THE CHAMP.
So PBF finally gives the people a fight they want, and all they do is complain. Sad, Sad, Sad. :nono

Let me preface my remarks by saying I am NOT a fan of Pretty Boy. (I've given the reasons too many times on other threads.)
But he's not afraid of anyone. None of those guys are. When you've been in the ring that many times, there are sometimes questions of confidence, but no-one is afraid of anyone, even if they're going to lose.
However, he is the best currently active boxer at any weight. (I'm not considering RJJ to be active)
He had a close victory over Oscar, a bad night against JLC where he may have lost, but he overwhelmingly put matters right in the rematch.
Other than that, he has been very dominant against a good sampling of the best fighters available. To complete his resume, he needs (after Hatton), Mosley, Cotto, Williams, and maybe Spinks.
While he's not universally recognized as the best, most knowledgeable fans and observers put him at the #1 spot.
