Marco Antonio Barrera set to destroy Manny Pacquiao; Pacquiao's Days are Numbered
[Only registered and activated users can see links]
In a recent press release, famed trainer of Manny Pacquiao, Freddie Roach confessed they had a spy in Marco Antonio Barrera's camp. The spy secretively video taped Barrera's work outs.
"We have had a mole inside the Barrera camp for the past month, secretly video taping Barrera's workouts. We call the mission Patriot Games," confessed Freddie. "Barrera has been looking phenomenal, the best he has looked in years. After seeing what his game plan would be we developed a new weapon for Manny to counter anything Barrera throws at Manny. It's called 'The Marco Bolo.' It's the perfect complement to Manny's vaunted left hook and the infamous 'Manila Ice.' Manny is still a work in progress, continuously evolving into the most ferocious fighting machine in the sport today. We have yet to see the best of Manny Pacquiao, and that's saying a lot since he's already the most exciting fighter in the world. Manny is prepared for the battle of his life."
To me, my opinion is that Freddie Roach has proven to be a cheater. I do not find anything cool or classy in sending a spy and then bragging about it in public. To me it is just outright pathetic that they need to resort to this tactic and to me it is nothing short of cheating.
Personally, I do feel that Pacquiao will lose his fight against Barrera this time. Let us not forget that before their last fight, Barrera was hit with a fire that made him evacuate his training camp midway through. Add to that, his medical records were unfairly disclosed in the media by a writer who in my opinion had no right to post personal medical information on Barrera. Apparently the leaked medical information indicated that Barrera has a metal plate in his head. The fire in training camp and the abuse from the media over his PRIVATE medical issues.... It was no small wonder that the Barrera we saw show up in the first fight resembled nothing we have accustomed ourselves too. So for any of you who think Barrera was beaten by Pacquiao... that is not the case... Pacquiao is not nearly as good as many of you have been lead to think. With a natural disaster messing with his training camp and then all the stress brought on by leaked medical info.... Barrera beat himself.
The Barrera who will show up this time will knock the block off Pacquiao. No fire in his camp, and no goofy media attacks over his personal health and medical issues this time around. If Roach was so sure that Barrera will be an easy fight for Pacquiao....then there would be no need to send a spy into Barrera's camp.
Roach can also make up all they pretty little names he want, such as "Manila Ice" and "Marco Bolo".... but let us not forget that Vanila Ice was a "one Hit Wonder" and Marco Polo is a blind man's game.
My final thoughts and opinions: Pacquiao's days are numbered and this time Barrera wins.... and hopefully we will all see Pacquiao for what his is worth.... a Media Hype Job.

Seems a little one sided and biased to me. I don't care who wins, but I would hope most writers who are reputable would refrain from talking about a championship caliber and a top P4P fighter before a big fight as a media hyped fraud.

Is this reputable? I really dont think Freddie Roach is that classless or stupid as to have a spy in the Barerra Camp and then announce to the whole fucking planet.
This a Press released to all sites, This is a script from HBO to hype the fight. Same as Bhop-Winky's fake fight at the weighin.

I think Freddie Roach is sharpening up Manny's hard right hook to the ribs a.k.a. "Manila Ice "(see Pac-Morales II)
So if they do what you advised, and that's what Marco gonna do all night, he's gonna have really sore ribs by the mid rounds.

my clues: the left hooks to the body in em-pac2
the right hook that dropped em in the 2nd round of the em-pac3
the left and right short uppercuts he gave to solis for solis first kd.
though pac is not yet polished in being an "in-boxer."
an in-boxer posseses an arsenal of hooks and uppercuts to
while getting inside the opponent.
i was wondering what would marco-bolo would look like?:think

You sound a bit salty.....kinda of like the author who wrote the article Boycott!!. If you lost money I feel bad for you, no one likes to loosse paper especially betting on a fight....but if you aren't good at knowing the sport of boxing then you should just find anther past time instead of getting all bent out of shape about loosing a bet. I'm sure many lost betting against Manny....
It's not every day that a young Pinoy fighter comes out of no where and hands "L's" to 3 of the very best Mexican fighters boxing has every saw all fighting in the same era and same weight class. But it happened....is Manny a Media Hype job.   Just asking the question is hysterical!!:rofl
Of course not, a hype job is someone who has accolades WITHOUT proving his mettle. All the accolades that Manny has associated with his name and brand are from WINNING and dominanting in his craft. His praise is warranted for the most part....HE'S NOT the 2nd comming of Ray Robinson like some of the FANATICS feel, but he is a very special talent and tremendous champion to say the least.

Meanwhile, Roach yesterday vehemently protested an article which came out in several websites insinuating that he has a tape of Marco Antonio Barrera's workouts, and that he has commissioned a spy in the Mexican's camp.
"That's a total lie. Tell them it's not true. Why should I do that? I don't need a tape. We already know how to beat Barrera," said the two-time Trainer of the Year awardee.

ROACH HAPPY WITH PACQUIAO'S FIRST 12-ROUND SPARRING
By Salven L. Lagumbay

Tue, 18 Sep 2007
CEBU CITY--Celebrated trainer Freddie Roach was two thumbs-up yesterday after his superstar pupil Manny Pacquiao cruised through his first 12-round session virtually unscathed and wanting for more.
Yesterday's session thus brings to 80 the total number of rounds Pacquiao has sparred so far in preparation for his mammoth rematch with Marco Antonio Barrera on October 6 at the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas.
"It was ok. He did great. He just stayed a little bit too long on the ropes, and i didn't like that very much," said Roach when interviewed yesterday at the Rex 'Wakee' Salud gym.
Pacquiao sparred four rounds with Mexican Raymundo Beltran, three rounds with Aaron Melgarejo, three rounds with Mexican David Rodela and two rounds against welterweight Arniel Tinampay.
"He looked in much better shape today that when he first sparred after his flu. Today he was brilliant," said conditioning trainer Dodie Boy Penalosa, who has been tasked by trainer Buboy Fernandez to oversee Pacquiao's stamina.
Pacquiao is expected to run a longer uphill route today at the Alta Vista Golf and Country Club, then report to the gym in the afternoon for his usual workout.
Team Pacquiao leaves Cebu in the evening of September 21, before heading out for Los Angeles the following day.
"We stay one week in LA, then leave on Sunday or Monday for Las Vegas," added the well-loved boxing tactician.

Bracelets are pimp bro y u trippin? Where's your sense of style? Marquez could be wearing a shiny bracelet with a D & G necklace and he would still be a killer. That would't change the fact that this so called gay guy owns PAcman.
on the contrary, i beg to disagree..if he did own pac he could have agreed with the rematch anyways..

what iv'e noticed about this article is: the author doesn't like pac a little bit doe'snt he?
it's ok if you don't like a certain fighter it's part of the sport anyways. criticism will always be there. but let see the merit of his points.
to label pac is another phil. media hype is somewhat discriminating: is he saying that only vegas has the right to showcase world class boxers, and not my 3rd world country phil.?
that's what i am seeing on his statement.
2nd he is saying that pac is just another media hype: then why bite?isn't hype helpful to boxing as it also promotes popularity?
why the global boxing scene bite? is it because that pac bought something "new" to the table and in particular the excitement he brings win or lose?
now i beg to disagree:
pac bought and contributed new awareness in boxing wheather it's the new pac-fans that the urban dictionary defines or plain boxing fans or the nuthuggers..
or the so-called critics it doesnt matter. this is all helpful to the sport.like i said it bought new awareness in boxing weather for the plain or casual fans or for the hardcore fans.
mr. author, even if pac losses as you hope he will it does'nt matter. the fact is he will be remembered. he will be remembered by his country-men for bringing not just awareness to this sport on how great it is but most especially honor and pride for my country and thus i give him that credit for that endeavor whether you'll like it or not..
he might lose but all his accomplishments( if some would call it that) and hardwork will never be forgotten, i'm assured of it.:good
