having spoken to barry since friday i suggested a Q and A for the forum and he's willing to answer any questions you guys an gals may have for him, he also thanks you all for the support, well those who wanted him to win anyway haha, he also stress's that fatigue had set in, thats what finished him, not daws' punches.

although he also makes it clear that, all excuses go out the window the minute the fight gets made, he simply ran out of gas.

please leave all your questions and i'll get them answered, thanks. :good

I think the easiest most reasonable question to ask is where he see's himself going from here now ?

Losing in British title fights twice must seriously dent his confidence and his belief that he can go on to better things.

Is he struggling to make 140 ? Does he think he can take any belt holders at or around 140. Does he think he can beat the likes of Lynes, Daws, McCloskey, Rees, Theoplane ? And if not what would he carry on for ?

tell him we all sadi thanks and good luck in the future whatever he decides to do :good

was it wise for him to take the title fight at such short notice :think

thanks for the question

he has made no decision yet on his future, but he has been boxing every season since 1992, watching what he's eating and sacrificing alot for the sport, he's now got to think about his family and health, and would love to enjoy more days like today with his wee boy at the safari park, he's been promising his boy that trip for weeks and weeks now, god bless him, that was his second of 2 questions when barry stepped off the plane "did u get the belt dad?" and "aww well, are we goin to the safari park now dad?"

barry also says with the correct preperation, he can beat all of the above at 140, and he never struggled on his way to 10 stone.

it looks silly now now to have taken the gamble, knowing he ran out of gas, never having been in that position before and being stopped, would obv be different if the belt was on his mantle piece, the chance was far too great to let pass, he was'nt sure when he'd get the nod again, he also believes he is a better fighter than daws on his day.

Thanks for the time taken to answer, both yourself and Barry. Nice to see no excuses.

I realise that it must be difficult having to sacrifice family time and a lot of other things in order to make it in the sport. best of luck to him :good

howdo dunky.

dr mcfarlane has told him he was only 50% of what he could have got him to if they had more time to work together, but barry does not know what to do as yet, he has a meeting tomorrow with tommy gilmour, to discuss his options, but it will be barry who'll make any decisions on his future. :good

Hi Barry,

What are your opinions on the Prizefighter series and would you consider ever participating in one?

Absolutely gutted with the loss but hopefully Barry will make it back to the top end of the domestic scene. I think he needs a few more regular fights and has he considered drinking his urine or anyone elses? Not that it helped the other dude.

taking punches makes you tired, having to deliver punches to keep a guy off makes you tired, being made to defend an onslaught makes you tired, lenny daws makes you tired.

hi lee thanks for the Q

prizefighter is good for the fans, and the boxers do not to bad from it to, having went to the kelvin hall show as a fan to cheer on stablemate charlie king, i enjoyed the night.

if i decided to box on, then i'd have no qualms with entering a prizefighter set up, would be an exciting night for the light welterweight division.

keep your chin up baz, if you only trained for 10 round fight before being thrown into a 12 rounder then it's no surprise you were tired!

don't give up, mate!

People say the same thing about Benitez and Duran before Leonard but this is their choice.

Part of a boxers arsenal is character and if a boxer lacks the character to be dedicated to his sport then that is as much a flaw or a disadvantage as not being born with speed or having master the technique of a good jab.

Obviously it's all down to you, and your family's wishes, but I think you still have a lot to offer the sport.

think you'll find benitez and duran were in a different league, and barry is not a millionaire, he does have to make ends meat outside boxing.

What is the story behind his preparation?

billy nelson

theres a misconception that boxers can train for 4 rounds 6 rounds and so on,barry would be the first to admit that hes a championship 12 round fighter and wouldnt train for anything else irrespective of the amount of rounds hes fighting,12 round fighter train as though there fighting 12 rounds all the time.

Its Barry Morrisons wife, hes always gloating about her. When Baz used to post a while back, he even made a 'Check out my wife' thread & posted that photo the arrogant sod! Baz was always a David Haye wannabe...

aah just joking, Its a picture of a ring card girl that Maka made hold up a saltire if I remember correctly...

Some of my questions have already been answered in particular even before the fight my fear was whether Bazza had enough time. I knew his style is trouble for Daws but if Bazza ran out of gas then Daws could take it late if he was still there.

Question now that both Bazza and Daws have a win over each other why not have the rubber match to decide who is truly the best both guys having enough preparation time?

Nothing went wrong other than Ajose is fighting in the WBC final eliminator against the fellow unbeaten contender Ionut Dan Ion on the 9th of October with the winner(Ajose) to fight Devon Alexander.
