this could go on forwever. theres an unlimited number of fighters that should go in.

if we do a hall of fame it needs to be based on something other than boxing skill or achievment. it needs to be guys like Michael Watson or guys who had a war for a british title 7 years ago that no one remembers but true british boxing fans like us. journeyman that gave future world champions tough fights and so on.

TBH I meant that Barry doesn't deserve to be inducted as a 'founder member'. He was a good fighter but he's one of the second tier of British world champs IMHO.

So what are we doing here, just basically devising a P4P list and putting the top 20 in first and continuing on in that order?

I thought this 'Hall of Fame' could be used to induct maybe not just the greatest British fighters of all time, but those that we feel deserve to be there based on different aspects i.e Carl Thompson for being a warrior, Michael Watson for being an inspiration etc.

Common sense? No chance. You want to be debating boxers and fights, not passports and birthplaces. We just a need a clear, concise rule.

Pioneer (Bareknuckle Pre 1890s)

Non-Participants (trainers, journos, managers etc..)

Thats not bad - for the first induction we could have 3 fighters for the 'Pioneer' section, 3 for the 'Old Timer' section, 5 for the 'Modern' section (wider span, more popularity etc.), and 3 for each of the other groups.
