this is my first thead! but a lot of people are trying to make comparisons to klitschko and carnera! well i would like to make a comparison between mumhamad ali and larry donald .. technically they were identical. donald was a little bigger around 6'4" to ali's 6'3" donald was beat by vitali when he first started boxing. so that must mean vitali would beat ali!

Wow. Great analysis. 'Vitali beats Ali because he beat Larry Donald'.
Ali would make Vitali Klitschko look like a C level fighter, which in reality isn't far off why he actually is.
How is somebody with the woeful timing, non-existent footwork and laughable speed like Vitali going to beat somebody like Ali?

I think there was more of a comparison between Muhammad Ali and James 'Quick' Tillis.

Ali was Donalds idol. He wore the same trunks and had the same haircut and kind of looks like him. Donald was a good technical boxer, but not on the level of Ali mentally or physically. Donald roared up the rankings and earned a shot against Riddick Bowe. He came to the press conference trying to imitate Ali and belittle Bowe. Bowe cracked him with a two punch combination that I think effected Donald the rest of his career. He was timid in the fight and took a 12 round beat down from Bowe. Donald could never be compared to Ali other than it was one of his idols, but an interesting story of Donald getting his reality check that he was in fact nowhere in the same league as ALi.

to me donald seemed to pretend to box, all gimics. good handspeed and decent footwork but just not a fighter, had heart and talent but wasnt a guy who wanted to fight just liked to be in a ring flicking a jab.
he was a boring boxer but his ability got him places. the only reason i think bowe punched him at the press conference (which i'm also sure rock neuman had alot to do with it) was to generate some interest.

Actually Bowe kept warning Donald to shut his mouth and Donald kept talking shit about Bowe. I seriously doubt Rock Newman told Bowe to punch him out. Bowe had a mean streak and it certainly showed up in his fights.

I love how serious people take these threads, as if they even deserve mocking.
Either A) A troll or B) Someone new to boxing making a very loose comparison of two fights.

Completely laughable! You must be totaly new to boxing period, not just this forum. How you can mention ali and donald in the same breath is beyond me.
