Exactly. De La Hoya has more to gain by making The Ring a great fucking magazine, than promoting his own fighters. If he does the latter, no-one will buy it, so it's not going to happen. If he makes The Ring great, every boxing fan will make sure they get it, making him more money.

De La Hoya is a great businessman. Promoting his own fighters is not good business.

He will do whatever makes money, and for us fans, that is make the publication even better.
