Never heard of him, but if that is the case and that is what he is like, then he should be sent packing asap

Is he the Hayemaker fighter who fought a draw on the undercard of Quigley-Dobson (think it was that fight anyway) and he came across as a total prick afterwards?

No we don't want people like that boxing. Plus, based on his last fight. he isn't going anywhere in the sport.

He was smirking on Bunce's show a while back, looked a bit half-sharp.

Mind you their idiotic football supporters have been throwing bottles at oppositon recently, including against Reading on Saturday. Maybe they haven't worked out how to take the cap off up over there yet.

He's a Gypsy lad...he thinks boxing is about having a tear up. He actually is a very decent talent but he has next to no dedication to perfecting his craft in this art. He fought my mate in the AM'S and my mate said he good and has talent but likes a fag and drink to much. I said a while back on here that Gypsy lads normally have his mentality they think boxing's a tear up when it's a art form of combat.

well said mandanda

people of that disposition will never succeed in this game.

Don't get me wrong Kos i don't think all traveling lads are the same. I box in gyms with these lads and know there mentality and most like to have a tear up. Some have some fine skills and get wasted. There is also a discrimination towards them in certain areas of boxing that can't be overlooked. I don't want to seem like i'm stereotyping but most lads like Maguire don't understand boxing at all yet they have been blessed with the natural ability to fight in this art of combat.

You'd have thought if he was still with Hayemaker/boxing he'd be on their upcoming York Hall show with Groves.

sounds like his quit.

I think Groves has been such a standout in the hayemaker camp other fighters might of become envious of him.

the guy deserves all the praise he gets he takes the game seriously.

i wouldnt say its a gypsy mentality

there is plenty of fine traveller boxers out there like , andy lee , john o'donnell , tyson fury , john joe nevin etc all from a small community , it sounds like the lad maguire has issues , he didnt look the brightest on the bunce hour a while back

yes he was photo id as the person that started it, and it was at a rave not a normal pisshead club were alot of fights break out so thats why it was noticed so easily. he was with a taller feind who started trouble and then when the friend was getting thrown out he started attacking people to try and distract from his friend and ended up bottling a bouncer.

i thought the event your on about was in club metro its not been open long but it is a club .that night i think it was £25 to get in and all you could drink

if maguire has packed it in ,i feel its a shame he was a good prospect

Yes it was at club metro and it was 25 quid and all you can drink vor vip but if you know much about raves or clubbing then drinking isn't the big thing there.;) Alot of raves are held in clubs but if your intrested in fighting and being a prick don't go.

i stopped going to clubs about 3 years ago, 1, i felt i was getting to old and 2, i noticed a change in the atmosphere and i agree about the drink thing but there are quite a few that do seem look for agro whe they have had a few to many

as i said if he has packed it in i thinks its a pity

I agree.

Also there are plenty of non gypsy fighters who have problems/are cunts/throw their career away. Certainly not exclusive to traveller lads.
