You think it's that unreasonable? Carpantier was some operator. I think that he would have all kinds of problems in this fight, but I also think that a Carpantier win is far form ridiculous or drunken.

all i see in his record are losses except from his win of the 175 title.
a perennial loser. would have tarver lost to billy papke , a middleweight ?

Frankenfrank only judges on record. Must hate Guts Ishimatsu then. Pea, I agree on Foster. Do you think Loughran woulda beaten him?

I pick Papke over Tarver. But I do think that Tarver, on his night, could beat Carpantier.

It's racist term for whites in the U.S. Frankenfrank again you show your idiocy. You really have no clue about boxing.

Spinks out already?....shattered.

Yep, Foster, Conn and Spinks are three MAJOR casualties.
However, I'm most upset at losing Miracle Matthew, one of my all-time favourite fighters. But I'm fair, there'll be no fixing in my tournament!
Just to let everyone know the next round will continue the same way, picked out of a cup!

Right, this is being done LIVE! The 2nd round draw! If anyone draws someone they have already fought then it is down to you to judge whether the losing fighter in that matchup would've had a better chance at any other stage of their careers etc etc or whether you think the outcome would be the same :good
First up......
Galindez vs.................
Wait for it!!!!!
Loughran!
Galindez vs Loughran
Marvin Johnson vs Conteh
Pastrano vs Archie Moore
Yaqui Lopez vs Qawi
Carpentier vs Harold Johnson
Patterson vs Bivins
Maxim vs Tunney
Roy Jones vs Ezzard Charles
Some tough draws again for a lot of peoples favourites on this board (or at least fighters that are regarded highly)
The final matchup is particularly interesting :good

At first glance at the draw, who do you thinks got the best chance of winning the tourney Mr Butt. I favour Tunney so far.
And you Rock, who'd ya thinks gonna' go home with the win?

I think Charles is the favourite and rightly so.
Galindez has got a tough draw this time round. Am gonna watch some Galindez today (and Loughran later) to think about that one.

moore looks well set to advance too pastrano got a draw with moore but that was in 62 i think so that does not really count in this tourney

No. But at the same time, I know NOTHING of that fight.
I'd like to see what people think of a 'prime for prime' matchup between the two. That's what this is all about.
By the way, Pater included both Khaosai and Khaokor in the Bantam tourney :good

He'd have to be with Spinks, Foster and Conn all gone in the first round :patsch
