Almost as bad as Mighty Mike....
Boxing nicknames peaked with James 'Bonecrusher' Smith.
To make such a dull name (James Smith) into to such an unforgettable one, is genius.

Come on TBooze...what about Owen "What the Heck" Beck...pure genius.
Street fighter already beat you to it.
Yep, M. Bison (changed to Balrog in the US version of Street Fighter II) was based off of Tyson, who the Japanese were in love with.
I suppose he does have that huge bison butcher block build in his shoulders/back.
It sounds too much the same though, like a lame rhyme.

Not forgetting Touch of Sleep Williamson or Goofi Mount Whitaker!:nut
Second to (Nunn) was also genius, until he lost. Because then he did not have the balls to change to it to Second to some!
Razor Ruddock is quality
And I always liked the original Magic Man (Marlon Starling), Bam Bam Hines and Hitman (Tommy Hearns), even if he did prefer Motor City Cobra.
Willie 'The Worm' Monroe was excellent.
'Boogaloo' Watts too.
'Caveman' Lee
And of course 'The Beast' Mugabi
But enough of these Marvelous nicknames! It got no better than the Louisville Lip, as that worked so much better than an alleged greater nickname.
I liked British Cruiserweight Chris 'P' Bacon and you cannot top a Zimbabwean Heavyweight (Jukebox Timebomb; Hitler the Killer).

I guess I should not mention British Featherweight, Elvis Parsley either! ;)
Yeah, I never understood the "Mighty Mike Tyson".
It seemed like they called him that for a handful of fights, and then it just disappeared and they went back to Iron.
What is the story behind that? Was it an attempt at an image change?
