Ghosts of Manilla mentioned above is good. Just know that it is very pro-Frazier and anti-Ali. (Which actually is fine by me)

I just finished "Hands of Stone" the Duran biography. It is alright. Too much hearsay for my liking and too many stories presented from different points of view so you never know what is really true or not. If you are a big Duran fan it is worth it.

The Holyfield Way by Jim Thomas his attorney. Very pro-Holyfield. But, regardless, it is a good look at the behind the scenes dealings of negotiating a fight.

I just got the Tapia biography "Mi Vida Loca". I've heard it is good but poorly written.

I've heard a few people say the Paul Briggs biography - "Heart, Soul, Fire" is supposed to be excellent.

I agree with everything you've said here, but it should be pointed out that there will probably never be a better Bio of Duran. The nature of the beast (all that machismo and BS, rumours and hangers on) means that getting to the bottom of him will probably be impossible.
