Thought I'd pose this question to the historians here in the classic forum.
What is the origin of the term "Rabbit Punch?"

Well, to kill a rabbit with your hands, you strike it at the back of the head, I guess it could have derived from that.

The term came from hunters who killed rabbits by a quick blow to the back of the head. Somehow it got transformed into a blow to the back of the head in boxing.

I have an old abasinian tom cat that's mean as hell; 17 pounds of genuine bad ass. I can imagine him sniffing around, twitching his tail, thinking "it's just a fucking rabbit," and suddenly Rabbit KO1 tomcat!!
