Great interviews on Fox sports with RJJ touching down in SYD.
Both guys looked pumped and are both saying its going to end is someone getting KTFO.
Gotta love VIC interviewed....."I sink Zanny Green can zwin if he does za boxing and za jabbing.....but if he goes for za killing no he wont win" :rofl

Pretty tragic coming from Vic, suggesting Greens best hope is to out box RJJ....
I dont remember Green 'outboxing' too many opponents. He is a compact fighter, always moving forward and applying pressure.. It worked perfectly into Mundines win.. it will be perfectly suited for a RJJ win also.

So what can green do....he has less chance fighting on the outside and counter punching?

His only chance will be a freak KO when fighting his normal game.

Come on mate...RJJ is shot....hes over the hill.....lost his speed....lost his power....lost his reflexes......hes fat.....and gone blind....Greens going to smash him :rofl

Lets not forget RJJ only beat Lacy... he might aswell have beat the same guy Green fought that night. It's no gauge for who will win this fight.
Green's best chance imo is conditioning... keep RJJ as busy and active as possible so he gasses out from round 6 or 7 and go all out for a lucky KO from then.

Lets not forget that Green only beat Dominquez... Mundine KO'd Clavero in 4 rounds.. Clavero lost a split points to Dominquez only months earlier..
Who's kidding who?? Danny is not fighting another bum. RJJ at this point in time is still a superior fighter to the Mundine who beat Green...

I didnt get to see the whole Jones v Lacy fight, only saw the highlights but I did notice that roy jones doesnt like getting on the move anymore as he spent most of his time against the ropes. If Danny wants to charge in like a bull he will probably play right into Jones' trap, but if danny makes jones move around it could make for some interesting developments

If only he'd done the same to Agbeko! Maybe we can take this as a positive from VIC - maybe he's learnt something in the last few months...
Jones will be a heavy favourite and won't disapoint.
I just don't know how Danny can beat him

Danny will eat more jabs than bake dinners. No way he beats an aged Roy. He simply doesn't have the speed or skills to compete with someone of Jones level. Danny is not the figther he was either years ago & still struggled with the likes of mandy & 2nd Beyer fight. Landslide win for Roy.

Im not saying green is a bad fighter but it is roy jones he's fighting, if mundine gave him a lesson in boxing think what's gonna happen. To be fair Green hasn't really faced anyone that can be considered great in his career mundine was the best and he came up short, beyer was a weak belt holder and lucas wasnt exactly an all time great. Further to this dominguez rocked him in the US. At best he has a punchers chance unless in his fights I haven't seen he is some sort of master boxer?

I'm a aussie so I want Green to win....but I'm also a bit of a RJJ fan.
On paper its RJJ in a schooling:deal....his defence is very good...Greens going to rush him but RJJ knows what to do with that.

I think he should pin him on the ropes a la tarver and just throw bombs with his chin down and hope for the best. Im not fussed who wins either result sets up rematches I wanna see.

FFS Ash , Don't see this fight anything other than a retirement coffers fight for both fighters , it dosen't matter who wins either they will BOTH rematch their respective domestic rivals next year regardless of the outcome of this . Just enjoy the senior's money tour for what it is .

Anyway Calzaghe is going to return to either rematch Jones or travel down under to fight Greenie after he finishes dancing with stars ( youtube ) hilerious , to become a three weight champ :hey then rumour has it he will be fighting David Haye to avenge his mate Maccerinelli to claim the Heavyweight title of the world to bcome a 5 weight division champ . but don't tell anyone ASH this is just between me and you son . :good

Not at all. But this fight is as much about business as anything Mundine has ever done.
The belt is interesting. Green wins it in the most concocted way possible against a guy who nobody has heard of. Yet his first defence is against a legend most think he has no chance of beating.
Roy gets to say he won another title in a new division.

Josey, do you think JC can handle the heavyweight division? He has to be one of the greatest post-war fighters to come out of the UK. I am just not sure David Haye isn't a bridge to far for Joe

Why not Phil ? who has Haye fought that could best Joe ? its not beyond the realms of impossibility to see this happen all that needs is for the weight gain to be done correctly .

Look I am fully aware P4P Joe is a far superior fighter to David and his resume is arguably better than any other recent fighter in Old Blighty. It is just my personal opion that a naturally bigger and stronger fighter could be a real issue for Calzaghe

Yes Phil i understand where you are coming from and quiet frankly i share your concern but if handled correctly this will only end with yet more Calzaghe victories . but if Roy can go up there and beat a fighter of John Ruiz standing then why can't Joe ? The problem Joe will have is coming back down to 168lbs to reclaim his rightful title after the winner of the super six has been determine .

Well who is Phil ? all i'm saying is that Haye should be a far less risky proposition to Calzaghe than Ruiz was to Roy . anyway we are jumping the gun a tad here mate firstly Haye has got to get past the very underated Valuve . Joe will have trouble fighting Nic i just hope David can to the hard yards and prevail v Nic thus paving an easier route for Joe .
