See that Gomez is fighting McCall on Oct 19th anyone got
any views on this fight.
I noticed with interest the comments on the Gomez threat that most of you seem to think he is finished and there was me thinking he boxes McCalls head off here.

Yeah, I would be really upset if McCall would beat Juan Carlos. I pick Gomez by a 116-112 or 117-111 decision. He is the better man and stylewise it is a perfect match for him. :good

i'm going with mccall, i think he is focused at this point in his career and the fact that he is taking this fight and jeopardizing his ratings for revenge is a good indicator, ud for the atomic bull!

I guess this is a 50-50 kind of fight.
Any chance Gomez has enough power to KO McCall?
So, Whoever wins gets a mandatory shot at Peter, right? That, if Maskaev/Klitschko are not fit to fight in the nearby future I suppose.

The fight is going to happen. McCall coudent to take fight with Peter and know will fight Gomes. I saw last fight of McCall - Sinan Samil Sam and Gomes - Bekhatov. I think Gomes lost his power, he dont have any more the power like before and McCall looks very nice in the last fight with Sinan and i will say McCall will win this time by KO.

All McCall needs to do is to throw his hand forward when Gomez tries to "jump on him" with one of his combinations. The result will be the same as in first fight vs Lewis.
I'd say McCall has good chances of knocking him out in rounds 10-12 or in very begining, depends on how reckless Gomez will be and he will really try to keep up his promise about knocking McCall out(LOL)... IF he is stupid enough to try, then it will be KO first round

Gomez did a pretty sound job of out boxing McCall last time. I say the same thing will happen again, this time hopefully the disappointing Gomez stays off the nose candy until after the fight.
As a sentimental favorite, I hope that McCall can find some way of winning. If Holyfield can challenge for a belt than it can't be too far of a stretch for McCall to do so.
I am going to watch that fight event live.Have just bought my ticket for this ucpcomming show in Germany's capital Berlin.
To be honest I am not very interested in the main event McCall vs Gomez.Their first encounter wasnt particulary entertaining or exciting.Gomez outboxed his old and very slow foe quite easily within the first 5-6 rounds.McCall had the upper hand in the last few rounds when the Cuban was getting tired.
With improved stamina Gomez should be able to dominate their encounter again and win a wide point decision against the old vet.
There are some interesting undercard fights like Spada vs Aguzum,or Branco(who knows! may be the old gladiator's last fight) vs Venancio.
I wouldnt pay a single coin to watch Samil Sam against totally overmatched Croat Pervica though.
What a joke !
German heavy weight talents Airich and Kretschman will also appear on the undercard as well as Swedish based African bigmouth Aldo Colliander.
No,I wouldnt attend this show because of any aformentioned fighter.
But............Solis will fight on the undercard ,too.
Damn! I am looking forward to watching him live.I very much hope that he will face a decent opponent who can go some rounds with him!
Solis and Povetkin are the hottest guns who will soon aim at the top names of their weight division.
By the way though I paid decent bucks I didnt get a really good seat.According to the ticket agency this event is almost sold out.

I've never seen him fight or know much about him.
But I hope Aldo Colliander gets beaten by brutal KO.
I'm sick of reading pathetic posts by some idiot on this forum
who seems to be his biggest fan.
Who is Kretschman fighting ?
i do not think i can watch the rematch.
i think its being put on premiere which i cannot receive.
but i watched the first fight again the other day, and it is clear that version of gomez is better than mccall.
gomez boxed at his own pace and rythem , chose when to throw and potshot and controlled the fight.
even when he got tired he easily saw every power punch that mccall threw and was able to avoid them .
mccall is always physically in shape and gomez is not.
if gomez is in shape for this fight IMO he will win on points again.

I somehow doubt that Gomez will be in shape for this fight.Nevertheless his skills will help him to win a point decision against the old geezer McCall who is totally overrated by so many posters here on this forum.
Gomez didnt have much trouble with the American vet within the first 6 -7 rounds.
A pity that Gomez and Timm have gone into different directions. They were a good team.I still remember Timm shouting at Gomez to get up early in the morning and be punctual reminding Gomez that he had to get up very early every morning and drive a car from his hometown of Schwerin to Hamburg in order to do his job.Gomez looked like a little school boy when Timm told him that he lived next to the gym so that it was not a big deal for him to do his job properly and appear on time in the gym.
I guess Gomez desperately needs someone like Timm in his corner.
