I need help getting started? Any advice?

I have a huge desire to start boxing at an amateur level. I live in Indianola, Iowa (close to Des Moines). I have checked with a few local gyms in Des Moines, but they won't work with adults. I am a college student and just turned 21. I am willing to work on an individual level with someone, even if they don't have a gym. I just want to box. Does any body have any ideas or advice on what I can do to start? Thanks.

Find a gym that does work with adults, im 21 and had no problems joining! GYM GYM GYM!!!!!!!! best way mate

they dont work with adults? ive never heard anything like that before..

both places said they only take kid between ages 9 and 18.
