Rashad Evans vs. Thiago Silva set for UFC 108 co-main event in January
UFC 108 is scheduled for Jan. 2 at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas and is expected to feature a main event between current UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva and challenger Vitor Belfort.
Nice main event and co-main event so far. Hope they can put more big fights.

Thiago - Rashad has a chance to be an absolutely great fight. As a Thiago fan I am a bit worried he will get stuck under Rashad though, as his guard is not as good as his top game. Striking wise I think he would do Rashad in.
I think Anderson takes it in about the 3rd; stay out of range, stick a few jabs and kicks in, and then once Vitor is frustrated, put on a clinic.

Silva v Belfort and Evans v Silva is ridiculous. Quality bouts me thinks. Throw Henderson v Nate on it and that is SERIOUS.
Belfort has to catch Silva inside 2 rounds or like Beebs says Belfort will probably fold mentally and Silva will get surgical on him.
Silva's striking is quality but Rashad is incredibly defensive and explosive with devastating blows.

Silva v. Belford goes past 2nd it's going to be A.Silva's for sure. If Belford comes out shaking it will be obvious and you'll be able to see if it's going to be a fight or just a beating.

I think Thiago is a bit overated (his stand up slightly too), but the guy can bang. A lot of his fights have finished quickly and the 1 time his fight (in the UFC) did drag on a bit he gassed. Obviously, that fight was a while back now so it could have improved. This is his 2nd test and he needs to at least put on a good performance. Big fight for both guys, but I have to favour Rashad. The longer the fight lasts I think it will work in Rashad's favour.

I am interested certainly in the Silva/Belfort fight, especially the fact that Belfort is considered to have some of the fastest hands should be interested how Silva goes about this bout and his defense. I wonder if he would care to drop his hands and do some of his free style juke moves he displayed against Franklin and Griffin
Two damn good fights. I'm looking forward to it.
I have to pick Silva over Belfort and Rashad over Silva.
