If there ever was a perfect time and place for Jiu Jitsu to be introduced as an Olympic sport, it's now and in time for the Games in Brazil.

The confluence of events is too good to be true.

That would be awesome. I just wonder how they would do it, would we want a divison for every belt rank ? Or just Blackbelts.

Its Brazilian Jiu Jitsu isnt it ? :yep It seems like every guy from Brazil even if they are like 17 has a BJJ Blackbelt I guess you get awared the Bluebelt when you say your first words, Purple when you start walking, Brown once you actually join an academy and Black for your 16th Birthday present.

MMA is now an established sport. If they are not going to introduce MMA then I think they should introduce the most popular martial arts. This would create the perfect starting ground for future MMA. We have boxing, wrestling and judo but there are a few it would be good to see i.e. JJ.

This is actually a fantastic idea. I'd love to see it, and would watch every match (or as many as they would show).
