I don't think its the main thing thats set back Harrison in his career. That was pretty much a hail mary shot from Sprott and he got fortunate, Harrison would beat him 8/10 times.

His main problem is lack of balls when somebody takes it to him. He's not really got the heart for prizefighting.

Could be, combined with other factors. I don't think its that simple. If his chin was the primary reason for him having not been successful I'd expect to have seen him KO'd more often, he's no defensive genius...just capable.

thinking back I believe Zakman and I were the only ones picking Sprott, and remember the sneering attitude we put up with between posting our picks and fight time.
I believe I went with brutal Sprott KO in 5, so actually overestimated Fraudley's punch resistance and testicular fortitude, as he was laid out before then :lol:.
Sprott was a 4/1 'dog :patsch
and to answer one guy above, he does have a china chin.....i'd seen it a few times before the Williams KD and Sprott KO, the massive warning sign was a couple of tomato cans rocked him in his first fights in the States.

In relation to the Sprott KO, if you watch the clip again notice Audley's mouth. No boxer should be that in range with a HW opponent and have your bottom jaw hanging loose like that. Thats why the punch had so much impact. Simple physics. Audley has lazy habits and has forgotten (or never learned) such basics as gripping your gumshield in close, simple parrying an opponents jab and slipping. Exactly. Harrison gets ridiculously overhyped, gets that big contract, talks ALL sorts of shit, and then fights one tomato can after another - some of whom put him on queer street.

There was a REASON for taking on all those sofites. He and his management KNEW he had a glass jaw, so they protected him as best they could before the eventual exposure. Most people didn't think Sprott would be the one, but his handlers knew this was coming. A-FARCE got laid out in the gym quite a few times from what I understand.

Before anyone kicks off, I have pasted the below from a post I made in another thread - mods move if you so desire - but this thread seems to moving faster than the other one and it applies here;

Hate the term glass jaw. But they do exist.

However, I dont think this is Audley's problem. I have issues calling any heavyweight 'glass jawed' as a 16 stone man is likely to put anyone down if they catch someone square.

I also dont want to go down the road of saying he lacks 'heart' as anyone who gets in the ring in the first place, let along getting back in after being KTFO has more heart than most people I know.

I think Audley lacks a stomach for a fight. He's got all the tools but if a fight goes into the trenches then Audley is coming out second best. For that reason alone he will never be world champ. I also think he's got other flaws to his game, but it's not worth going into them all as this one is the biggie.

No hater, just realistic.

No question. Fraudley is flawed in so many respects - footwork, defense, punch volume - oh, I could go on and on.

But I think his utter lack of punch resistance is key to most of this. It's because he knows that he has a glass jaw, and that one good punch could spell the end - even from guys who aren't great hitters - that he backpeddles and is basically afraid to engage.

It all comes back to that glass jaw with Fraudley.

1. British people do not only support British fighters. I am from Britain and support more non British fighters than British.

2. I disagree that the majority of British fighters have no chin. Carl Froch has an iron clad jaw line. Do you remember your boy Taylor getting KTFO by him.
