Quite amazing to watch. That right hand may be one of the greatest punches ever during it's prime . Ask Duran and Cuevas. And carrying it up into the higher weights (with some weakening of power and fragile problems of course) is a great accomplishment in itself. Despite Hearns flaws ,stamina and chin which is somewhat debateable,(He did prove successful against large men as he went up in weight). He is clearly the most exciting of the fabulous 4,because if he was'nt knocking ya silly or outboxing ya,he was struggleing to win. Long live the Hit man.

Hearns' right hand was super fucking badass, man.
Amazingly Hearns had very little power in the amatuers...his KO% is pathetic. Then in Steward's words he started to grow into his body and became a monster puncher.
A banger who has AMAZING boxing skills - this guy realy is a rarity. I don't see how you can't love Hearns!!!

Except in the chin department. He's neither.

There was always a real electricity type feeling when he walked in the Ring. It's a shame he did'nt get a second shot at Hagler. A rematch would have been interesting.

The way in which he took out Pipino Cuevas and Roberto Duran was just unbelievable. No matter what shape Roberto in, he would have been knocked out every time if he was hit with that. Perhaps the hardest right hand that has ever landed, nobody knocks out Roberto Duran - it's just not something your supposed to do. Hearns had him cold.
