What would a higher profile judge get paid? Any idea where I can find this info?

There's a link on the post. It's from the California Athletic Commission.

DAMN! So if you judge 50 fights a year you make $80K? Not bad at all... Imagine working one day a week and making that kind of cash! Plus have of them get 'under the table' money from promoters anyway... Sweet deal.
Point is that if they paid them more, they wouldn't NEED to take money under the table from promoters, and it would clean up the sport.

Not nessessarily, NBA refs make alot compared to most other sports and we saw this year what happened with that.

$2k for one night's work isn't too bad. Finding consistent work might be a problem.
