c'mon people, ringside has to be REG GUTTERIDGE with ritchie woodhall.............studiobound then picture this, buncey with benn and eubank for sheer comedy value and always the chance of it kicking off

Bunce needs someone to bounce off (and keep him in check) in the studio. Like a comedians straight man.

Gutteridge, Larry Merchant and Gil Clancy

Gutteridge is the best blow by blow announcer and boxing commentater, jus knew what needed to be said.

Merchant is brilliant dosent say alot but what he does say is normally very important and clever, also he can be quite funny.

Gil Clancy as he again like merchant noticed things and pointed out important things. Also he ha dthe benefit of being a trainer witht he top guys so knows what hes talking about

in the studio Buncey and Howard Cossel would be good.

and running around the back should be George Foreman

Bunce and Cosell?? By the time those two had finished talking there'd be no time for the boxing.....

i really like cosell i think him and bunce would have interesting consversations but perhaps you might need Jim Rosenthal to keep it in rder

Ian Darke with McCrory like the good ol' days.

I like Jim Watt's excitability when he commentates so he should share the duties.

On the panel Barry MgGoogan would have to be there along with Nicky Piper and perhaps Richie Woodhall on occasions.

Oh, and NO Steve Bunce EVER!

ian darke and the 1990 version of barry mcguigan commentating {mcguigan was great in the early days of tv channel 'screensport'}
in the studio andy kerr presenting, with a panel of david haye, henry cooper and kevin lueshing...
with steve bunce doing ringside reports / analysis / post fight interviews..but not that cringeworthy shit of bursting into dressing rooms with a stupid look like gabriel clarke does.

but, then i'm thinking buncey needs to be in the studio with andy...just the two of them with our emails like setanta days...

As much as i love bunce, i dont rate his boxing brain, he is useless at predicting winners. i rate wee barry higher. Woodhall is class as his analysis is spot on like townsend on footie. Id go for gutteridge and merchant with barry doing the analysis with woodhall and jim rosenthal interviewing.

I agree, as when Audley talks boxing and not about himself he makes a lot of sense. I once saw Audley talk about the Amateurs and it was interesting stuff, the guy knows his stuff.

I would like to see Barry and Buncey together in the studio as i remember them doing a good job for the Jones-Joe fight.

I have to say i wasn't a big fan of Rowling but he's grown on me, him and Woodhall together are immense, head and shoulders above the rest in the UK

Bernstein is very good, I would have him as a presenter, can't stand these presenters who no jack shit about boxing, nothing worse then a presenter who's not a fan of the sport you can see it from a mile and its annoying, that dave clark comes to mind here.

in the studio i would have Mike Tyson (for his knowledge) and Naz (for the comedy value, bit like Ian Wright in the football but Naz i think would have a balance between providing that comic relief and substance) and throw Merchant or Bert Sugar in there, can you imagine Larry and Mike going at it? lol!

Ok, I will keep this to UK only.

Rawling and Woodhall on commentary.

Studio: Bunce, McGuigan, Kerr.

*Special guests to be rotated, eg. Bernard Dunne (is excellent when he is on RTE), Jon Thaxton (impressive when I have heard him on ITV4)...

Yep, or in the hotel room in Vegas pre-Barrera. I can see Eubank making an observation about a fight or even a philosophical meaning of life point that he is trying to extrapolate to boxing, and Naz interupting him and telling him with a certain amount of gravitas that he is talking rubbish.....

Those two are made for each other in a studio, I would love to see. :good

Dan684

I've been dying to see them two together in a work environment for years. They would be made for each other. Probably a bit more mature nowadays to stop it getting out of hand but both still big-enough personalities to clash

Yeah it would be a good idea to have someone relevant in the studio, potential future foe etc, rather than the same old same old.
