So who ducked who now? surely if Murray wanted the fight so bad he would of jumped at any offer, looks like he missed his chance.

******s a joke 4 options on Murray hahahaha!!
4 options :rofl:rofl
Worse than the Klits! This shows how much faith ****** has in Khan.
This thread backfired spectacularly. Did you even read the article? Blindly...defend...Khan.

this may sound really stupid but what are options? i think there is a real question mark over hennesy as promoter, hope he doesnt mess up Murrays career. Don't think Murray is really big enough for light welter.
Mazallan

What were the 4 options?
1. Murray must be blindfolded.
2. Khan must be allowed an AK47.
3. Murray must remove his arms.
4. Khan must be declared the champ even if he loses.

Murray is one of Hennessy's biggest fighters and he could make a lot of money of him if he beats Khan. That means Fat Mick isn't going to sign away the rights to 5 of his fights (the Khan fight and the 4 options) to his biggest rival. A rematch clause is more than fair but 4 fucking options? You're having a laugh.

It means if Murray wins ****** gets to promote Murrays next 4 fights and (I'd guess) have a big say in the opponents. 4 is a hell of a lot esp. at that level, but Don King used to "ask" (and I use the term loosely) and get 6 or more back in the day....
If its true you can't really blame Hennesey for backing out.

now i know what options mean, i can see why hennesy turned that offer down. i think roach woulda had a big say in this, he demands alot outta pacmans opponents.

The point, Darni, is that it's best to consider all the facts before scoffing haughtily at others.

IT's not as simple as saying they were offered a fight. The 4 options are scandalous.
Povetkin could offer Vitali $100k to fight him and he'd turn it down. The fight was offered but turned down. He must be ducking Povetkin! ;).
See how that works?

We might never know the full facts of the offer, the point i made was the fight was offered and turned down, if Murray wanted to fight that bad should of taken it, 4 options sounds like B.S to me.

All i said was the fight was offered and turned down, you can make your own mind on Mick saying he got 4 options, so if he said he got 6 options you would believe him? the point is a offer was made and turned down.

It's not as fucking simple as "an offer was made"!!!!
As Dan said you have to look at the terms of the offer. Has ****** come out and denied Hennessy's claims?

lol the first time ****** offered Haye the Enzo fight, he made the offer with options attached which is why Haye turned it down...you think Haye was ducking Enzo then?
****** is notorious for 'offering' fights with ridiculous caveats to it and then saying "we offered the fight, they didn't want it so we're moving on" thus making out he's done everything to get the fight on...when in real terms he's done as much as he can to get the fight off.

I am not wrong though. Khan does not need Murray. Khan is the WBA champ and Murray has just beaten a fighter everyone thought was finished.

So you think you're being clever by stating the obvious? Hatton didn't "need" Witter, still didn't stop us wanting to see the fight and being disappointed when it didn't happen.
You sound like one of the Floyd joyboys from the GF, who talk like they're his accountant.

Witter was a good champ and a world belt holder.
Murray is still fighting domestic fighters. I would have liked the fight to happen but it has never really been on the cards and Murray has only looked class since the Meager fight.

Murray will have to go some way before Khan vs Murray becomes like Witter vs Hatton.

The risk/reward balance is not worth it for both fighters, better the fight not take place.

Witter forged a nice little career for himself, who knows what would have happened if he had met Hatton and lost.

Its a non option, because no one in their right mind with a borderline World class fighter takes a fight against someone ranked on his level, on a 4 option deal, its a non option for any promoter.
That could take 2.5 years to fight back and also we all know Khan would have the judges well paid for any rematch should he lose the first one.

hennessy is a lot of things, but not a liar.
hennessy has worked with maloney for froch v magee, tyson vs mcdermott.
hennessy has worked with matchroom and the scottish fella for McAllitster.
The only fight they have worked together on was Clev vs Macintosh and only because hennessy won the mandated purse bid and ****** never even attended and he allowed that fight cos he knew clev would win easily.
they offered a froch v calzaghe fight the day after it emerged froch's cruciate was knackered an he was awaiting an op.
even then, they offered crap money and options should froch win.
