For those without Sky, the whole evenings show will be available online:

[Only registered and activated users can see links] ([Only registered and activated users can see links])

We are working on getting carriage on Virgin, but this regrettably won't happen before the Froch-Dirrell fight night.

Thanks.

Can I get primetime on an old sky digibox with a lapsed sky subscription?

I could get Setanta.

As long as your card is still 'active', you can buy the PPV. You don't have to be a Sky subscriber.

And you must attach a phone line so your card can be activated.

I hope the stream is exceptional for that price, there are 'alternatives' out there that will do 3 months coverage of all sports at a reasonable quality for the same cost...

I bloody hope so. She might be confusing Saturday with future fights.
Streaming is not the future. The quality and bitrate just isn't good enough for us who like to watch boxing on big screens. Even when its upscaled, its not good enough.:nono

Streams will get there eventually, but right now it's only useful on a monitor. Even on a 32" LCD it would look ropey. On my 19" computer monitor though, it'll be just fine.

£15.45 including registration fee.

That's if you order now.

If you order less than 24 hours before the start time, it's another £2 on top of that.

By the way, if anyone orders the internet stream, let me know if you receive a confirmation email.

I haven't, but I'm not sure if that's normal. Cheers.

Primetime, you cannot believe that a stream on a computer should be the same price as a tv ppv? thats ridiculous, many people who get the ppv will be sharing the cost with friends;on a laptop thats not feasible.

surely something closer to 7/8 quid is much more reasonable?

and considering many people will be 'testing the water' so to speak with this ppv format, to put people off because of the price on the very first event is short sighted imo.

surely something has to be done?

So it's not just me. I am having a bastard of a time getting in touch with Primetime about it.

I've even emailed Bunce to see if he can give me a contact address to sort it out.

Who would have thought we'd get a PPV provider charging more than SKY (£14.63 for Valuev v Haye). I'd like to know why an additional "registration fee" is required when the whole thing is done online with no posting of documents etc. A number of people I know in work are saying that they saw that it was £12.95 (if paid early) and said they'd get this, but then saw the add-on cost in tiny writing on the bottom of the form and changed their mind. I'm not sure yet what to do, but I'll decide by Friday before it goes up in price.

Excellent.

I'd much prefer to watch it on the box, but for those of us without Sky this is great news.

Thought I'd miss Saturday's fights, I will be watching online now though :)
