Cool !
I thought he said he would take care of his business after the JCGomez fight. I guess something made him change his mind. He has been in some good and exciting fights so it is good that he is back.

Welcome back. Virchis might never be champion, but he can make some money vs. Valuev, Krasniqui, Kretchmann, and company.

Virchis is too inactive, he could have had several good fights in the past few years, Dimitrenko, SSSam, Skelton, etc.
Unfortunatelly, now he is starting to get up there in age, probably won't do much more in his career.
He is B level, murderous power but way too slow.

I don't get this one. He was hinting before his retirement, and openly saying after, that he had not wanted to fight for some time. The man has wicked power, and if he really dedicated himself, than he can only be good for the division. But man, decide.

Good news! Virchis is a slow and clumsy behemoth whose skills are extremely limited, but he can bang like a mule and he seems to be a very humble human being.Besides I have a weak spot for farmers:D
Very interesting fight card:
Virchis takes on Latvian journeyman Kalnars(20-19) in his first fight since he lost to Gomez by point decision.
German based heavy weight banger Airich squares off against African iron chin Cisse Salif. Small heavy vs huge one!
Former Ukranian amateur star Mazikin is scheduled to face Czech heavy weight hope Ondrej Pala(24-2).
Tough fight for Pala,little reward!
I very much hope that he soon gets a shot at a better known name out there. He deserves bigger fights and bigger paychecks!
3 very decent heavy weight fights!

If he's in there to win, I'd take Virchis. I am disappointed in Ustinov. He needs to be 40 pounds lighter.

Long layoff I know, but he did not look great.

Good that he at least completed the 6 round contest. But I agree he looked pretty awful. His stamina was just terrible.
He's such a plodder:lol: But maybe he can make some interesting fights if he gets into shape.
And yes, he is a farmer.

Yeah! He was out of puff after 3 rounds. Well,at least he has returned to the fight game. I guess we should be content with his performance.A totally out of shape and rusty Virchis against a relatively mobile opponent is not the recipe for a great fight!
Anyway!
Virchis' firepower is still a serious threat to many rivals out there!
I am happy that he has left his early retirement from our beloved sport!:good
