I don't know what they are on anymore 5 or 6 whatever. I have been watching and I must say I really like Serra more then Hughes, he is totally right when he says hughes is like the HS jock giving geeks wedgys. Serra to me is (maybe cause we are both NYers) cool and doesn't act like he is the Champ up on this high horse looking down at people like hughes does. I don't know but I'm gonna root for Serra.

Ha, Serra talks about loyalty and having his team there with him, then berates his own student, first blackbelt, and supposed friend not to tap but to pass out, then calls him a fucking pussy when the guy is laying on the mat, then acts all buddy buddy again in the dressing room.

And Hughes is the dick.

Serra is coming off as a fucking wreck on this show. He is running his mouth like crazy, and then talking about the way that Hughes is disrespectful. Then... he talks an extreme amount of trash on his own student, and basically assures with his own words that the kid's MMA career is finished by degrading him so much on National Television... and turns around and says that he can't stand the way that Hughes treats other people. Amazing.

At least with Hughes, you know what you got. Hughes doesn't try to be anyone that he isn't. He is a hard nosed fighter, and he is sincere in what he believes and does. Serra is trying to be Mr. Everything and is coming off as fake, and pathetic. "Breathe.... we're breathing..... all of this time, we're breathing.... don't forget to breathe....."

W.e Serra's funny.

Barrating his own fighter think is completely understandable. The guy is a black belt who got tapped. GTFO here. He showed nothing that a blEck belt should be. Serra being close to the guy only increases the frustration cause he actually CARES for the guy. Don't tap was because triangle wasn't even tight until only last 3 seconds of it. Plus, the blEck belt didnt even do anything to escape it.

Black Belts get tapped too. It happens all of the time. I think that people are overexaggerating the dude letting that triangle slip in. Serra told him to land some heavy stuff, close the round strong, and steal the round... the kid immediately started winging punches trying to follow his coach's instructions.... which lead to him leaving himself wide open for the submission... which WAS in tight. If anything, Serra should be blamming himself for telling the "black belt" to get out of his comfort zone, where he was doing alright, and wing shots which clearly wasn't his strength.

You can tell, that guy was just nervous as hell. He could have gotten out of the triangle when it wasnt tight, but he didnt. Like Serra said, the guy was looking for a way out.

**fuck man, I cant believe from all the guys, Roman had to get injured, I was looking forward to watching another Armenian fighter on T.V. I have a feeling theyre gone bring him back though.

I'm actually starting to like Hughes again and Serra less and less. I'm from Long Island too. You just have to respect Hughes, like was said above he is what he is. Out of the two he is clearly the better fighter and is coming off waaaay better on the show then Serra. Serra runs his mouth non-stop about Hughes and Hughes really never did anything to Serra. Anyone with a brain can see right through Serra and realize it is an inferiority thing that is driviing this dislike towards Hughes. Like he said, he was "that Varsity Captain" in highschool, well maybe a small part of Serra wanted to be that guy.....because why else would he even give a shit??

I want Serra to win because I really want GSP to have the chance to fuck him up in the rematch. But I want Hughes to win more because he is the better fighter and like I stated, I'm starting to like him better and better.

But either way, St. Pierre is getting his belt back.

Hughes seems like a down to earth, nice guy . It is Serra with his big N.Y mouth, it seems that has the attitude. It seems Serra is everything that he claims Hughes is.

Hughes is going to beat his ass anyway. So , Hughes dont even care about the trash talk.

I dont care what Serra told him, the way he got cought in triangle should NOT have happened in the first round. Lutter did the same fuckin retarded thing except Lutter was already exauhsted from cutting(obviously not enuf). He should've started escaping the triangle rigth when he felt it coming.

I'll agree about nerves though.

Yeah, it looked like that guy didn't have much spirit in him.

I can't stand Hughes, and Serra tries to mother everyone. Also, he's so fucking annoying when he's working someone's corner. I still like him better than Hughes though. I don't see lightning striking twice for Serra though and I think Hughes will beat him without too much trouble. Then I really wonder if he'll just retire or if he'll go lose to GSP again.

This season is going to be hilarious. Hughes is like a lion slowly reeling in a baby gazelle that doesn't know what's coming.
