i find rampage meltdowns comical. Especially the last one with Rashad. He gave him a verbal beat down :D

for the most part, i just watch the last 15 20 mins of the show.

Totally agree. The show is shite in general. What makes it worse is that the majority of fighters on this one, and by that I mean everyone with the possible exception of Roy Nelson, is shit.

The only fight winner that I thought looked bad was Mcsweeny and maybe Schaub. Mcsweeny didn't seem to have much wind or technique, even though it's claimed that he's some great kickboxer and Schaud looked pretty stiff. I don't see how you can claim that Madsen (who won both rounds 10-8 on two of the three cards) looked lousy, how Wren (who moved very smoothy on the ground and sunk in a choke before Sims could defend) looked anything but dominant. This ALWAYS happens with every season of TUF because in the first round you know nothing (well, at least I know nothing, usually) about what different fighters are trying to do and so it's hard to know how good they are. I remember thinking that the season with Penn and Pulver was super weak after the first round, and in retrospect that was the deapest cast talent-wise with the most interesting fights of any season. You have to wait to see the winners fight the winners and those winners fight before you can judge, and if it starts to look like Hughes vs. Serra where there are only two guys that know at all what's going on and one gets eliminated by an eye poke, THEN you can say the season sucked. But not yet.

Oh, and just to clarify about the actual title of the thread, I'm not saying that the fights aren't boring, just that that doesn't mean the fighters suck.

Exactly. What a way to end the season in anti-climatic fashion .

But I always used to wonder why they don't do heavyweights after each light, middle, and light heavy weight cycle.

Now I know why.:yikes

Rampage got owned in the conversation at the ending of last night's episode. That was funny:lol:

Rampage has been owned in every way possible on this show. Going in I thought it was impossible for me to even be neutral on Rashad Evans now but I really like the guy. Rampage keeps saying well im not a coach but then why do you keep signing up to be one ? I think Rampage beats Rashad sadly but its a shame Rashad dont get the chance to knock his head off.

I get the feeling they will fight at some stage but at the moment it's going to be a bit of a fucking anti climax to the show? Shame really because I was really looking forward to the fight.

I honestly don't think Rampage wants to fight Evans.

this show has been awful, the only thing we've learnt is that most of them fighters are shit and Rampage is off his nut.

I haven't watched all of the seasons, so it's not fair for me to say how it compares. Serra and Hughes was the season I saw all of. I never watched any of the others in their entirety. I have watched some episodes of most of the seasons, but I missed the last one almost entirely.

The one thing I like about this season is there is less focus on drama in the house, and a little more on gym stuff. I think that this season's skill level disparity is what hurts it at the moment. It looks like Jackson picked as many big guys as he could, and Evans picked more of his fighters based on accomplishment. Jackson also lost control early, and Evans is doing a great job at picking his matches. I think there is a lot of talent that we have yet to see, because Evans' team is doing so well at picking the right opponents. I won't be surprised to see Evans match Mitrione with Jensen eventually. That may be Mitione's best chance for victory.

The season is rather flat, but I think there is the potential for some future quality. I'm really interested in seeing if Jones is capable of anything. Jones is a different breed of athlete than most of these guys. He may have entered the sport too late, but I still want to see what he can do before ruling him out.

I'm enjoying it. Training, animosity and then a fight. I'm cool with that.

I'm still standing by this. The fights may get a lot better now.

Show is fine to me. I am enjoying... as are millions of others which is why stopping the show makes no sense. Clearly those "disliking" the show are in the minority. Let alone the fact that shinning the spotlight on these up and coming fighters is a huge reason why the UFC has continued success.
