another primetime thread :happy
there were glitches, but nothing too big that couldnt be forgiven...overall it was good....but i think the team needs changing around a little...
swap jim rosenthal with andy kerr...i think andy is a superb presenter, and i think jim could do the roving bit, if its not putting too much legwork on an old feller like him...but the main problem i have was with jon thaxton...thaxon is a good guy, but he is not a commentator...and that was the main thing that spoiled things a little, a good commentator alongside rawling...maybe get woodhall on board....but, then where do you stick thaxton?
overall i enjoyed the show they put together...but replace thaxton...he's a good egg...but misplaced in that role.

I enjoyed it as well; not really any technical glitches at my end, but I am reading some nightmare stories on other threads.

The thing I liked was Jim's earpiece must have been crackling with instructions to reign Buncey in everytime he went off on a story. I kept expecting Jim to roll his eyes everytime Buncey went off on one. Love Bunce though and good to see him back on the box.

Rozenthal looked pretty uncomfortable around Bunce, think he's a bit too reserved to be alongside him. Bunce is a legend, coming out with some quality comments like the hot tub thing at the end. What now for prime time?

yh agree, you need some one young and someone with patience to stand alongside bunce. jim looked very uncomfortable.

Maybe put Thaxton with Buncey and Rosenthal/Kerr?

i thought jim and steve worked well, it was a good balance, jim is a proper pro and steve is steve, he provides that comic relief and sometimes needs to be rained in, you can't have to much anarchy lol
btw i thought the whole production and presentation was very sound, what a shame it all seemed like a scam and most people didn't get to see it despite paying.

Rosenthal, who I've always thought OK, seemed to see himself above emails.
No great gripes though.
ps Thaxton was not very good... I'm sure he's a nice bloke though.

Believe you me, Woodhall would have been better than Thaxton.
I laughed when Thaxton thought Rawling was correcting his pronunciation of Froch but was instead relaying the play by play. I can't remember exactly but it was something like this:
JT: he's moving forward here is Frock
JR: Froch has been training on the...
JT: (Cuts across JR)....Froch.
Now I type it, its not that funny at all.

:yep that was all that was missing :good
It would be sensible to have Kerr alongside Bunce. They have a working relationship and they bounce off each other nicely. I only caught a bit of the Primetime feed as I was watching Showtime coverage but Rosenthal looked a bit awkward.
both commentators gave it to Dirrell, and yet in their final thoughts they both came out with some bollocks as to why froch was the deserving winner, they couldnt have looked more embarressed doing it

It's a shame they started back tracking on their opinions after the result.
