I know that is a bold position to take, and if I'm wrong, I will Gladly eat crow on here as I Have in the past!!!:deal
But read this statement from MAB, and tell me he doesn't sound like he actually wants to kill PAC.
From Fightnews:
MAB: Pacman ugly painful thorn!
"Manny Pacquiao has been an ugly painful thorn in my side for nearly four years," said a determined Marco Antonio Barrera from his secluded high altitude training camp in Mexico. "There hasn't been a day since our first fight that I haven't thought of Pacquiao and what I would do to him if we ever fought again. These past four years have been torture for me as Pacquiao has done everything he could to avoid me. But once we signed the contracts to fight, I have done nothing else but eat, drink and dream of Manny Pacquiao. Throughout this training camp Manny Pacquiao has been the only thing I've thought of, morning, noon and night. I have never been so focused on an opponent in my entire career. I have poured everything I have into this training camp and there isn't a thing Manny Pacquiao or his trainer Freddie Roach can do to escape my fury on October 6."

MAB sounds EXTREMELY focused and determined as humanly possible. I hope he takes Pacquiao apart ala Sanchez-Gomez, but it's unlikely. Unfortunately, I'm going with Pacquiao by TKO.

:rofl MAB is 130 pounds and probably about 30 of that is balls for him to say something like this.

Actually, I think this will end in a MAB KO/TKO of Pacman.
Pac seems to have lost focus as of late, the distractions will be his demise. On top of that I think people have gotten to overrating Pac a little too much, and forgetting that he does have some pretty serious flaws in his makeup.
Though, if Pac KO's MAB in 2 or 3 rounds I wouldn't be all that surprised either.

I already bet $50 for Barrera to beat Pacquiao, I honestly dont know if he can do it by tko/ko, but I hope he does. This is Barrera's last war, one more time for Mexico!

Ironic becasue I havent been a huge fan of MAB, I liked Morales more, but LOVED BArerra for the classic lesson he gave in exposing Hamed.
In the end?? I've come to respect him more and hope he can change the result.

One thing is for certain and that is that MAB wont be surprised and caught off gaurd by Manny this time around.
i could see MAB putting a beating on Pac late if he keeps the pressure on Pac after the first 4 rds...but i can't see MAB stopping Pac...i hope MAB wins this...

i completely disagree. pac like pressure fighters. the smart thing for MAB to do is pick his spots carefully, not involve himself in a slugfest, move to the left and establish his jab and lead right early. mab won't beat pac by pressuring him. mab should be smarter than that. i also can't see a mab stoppage. i guess a bbutal body punch could do the trick but it is highly unlikely. i pick pac by ud
and the part where mab said pac was avoiding him was made me laugh earl hard. pac freaking destroyed you the first time mab. come on! that's like saying cotto is avoiding malinaggi!

Damn Bro that's scary. MAB seems really determined to get back at Pacquiao and redeem himself from the humilation on the first fight.
It seems like he's getting Pac at all cost. :think
Damn Pac better be ready for the after the break punches and headbutts.

Kidding aside . . . I'm not counting out MAB. You don't under estimate the heart of a warrior.

On the contrary, Pac's strategy is to keep pressuring MAB all the time until MAB just get dead tired. If you want to know the physical condition of Pac now, read the article below.
Pacquiao hires marathoner as running partner
Inquirer
Last updated 04:19am (Mla time) 09/20/2007
CEBU CITY -- Filipino boxing superstar Manny Pacquiao has tapped Cebu’s top long-distance runner Adonis Singson to keep him company in his morning runs which kick off his daily training grind.
Getting a new running partner became necessary since the two Mexican sparmates and even his brother Bobby Pacquiao could not keep pace with the ‘Pacman’ when he jogs at the Alta Vista hills here.
Pacquiao covered 10 kilometers in 40 minutes on a route capped by a 3-km climb up the hills of Pardo here.
“It’s a good run,” American trainer Freddie Roach said, adding that “he’s pretty close to his form when he was training for his third fight with (Erik) Morales at this point.”
Roach added that he liked the idea of tapping Singson to run with Pacquiao, noting that only a professional runner can keep up with his prized fighter, who is deep in training for his Oct. 6 rematch with Mexican great Marco Antonio Barrera in Las Vegas.
In the afternoon, Pacquiao hit the mitts for 12 rounds with Roach at the Rex ‘Wakee’ Salud gym
Meanwhile, Pacquiao was saddened upon learning of the death of his former trainer Leonardo Pablo last Sunday in Manila due to heart failure.
Pacquiao sent P100,000 to Pablo’s family through businessman and boxing promoter Jay San Pedro.
Narvaez, a veteran matchmaker, brought Pablo to the Mandaluyong Hospital last Sunday.
He initially recovered from breathing problems but succumbed to another attack.
“He would have turned 68 today. It’s his birthday today,” Narvaez said in between sobs.
Pablo is set to be interred on Saturday at Manila’s North Cemetery. Salven Lagumbay, contributor

Remember EM before the rubbermatch, He said said He's not Hurt by Pac's Punches after Pac give him a beating of his life. I see only one scenario, a MAB Total beatdown by Pac, it could end early or Pac will play around a little longer.(For PI commercial slots).

I've been entertained by MAB for a long while. He commands respect. His last fight with the Pacman let me down. I think the accumulation of wars/battles has beat him down. Pacman made him look bad. Hopefully Marco had a bad night and can lift and overcome what I think is an over-rated Pacman. I'd enjoy it to see the old guy get revenge but my head tells me it probably won't happen, unfortunately.
This maybe MAB last fight.
I also told everyone that Hopkins would destroy Tarver and beat Winky, And that MAB would school Juarez badly in the rematch. :deal
Juarez almost beat mab while pac dominated the whole fight, see the difference? and juarez is nowhere near pac when it comes to pressure and speed. :deal

I hear ya...I'm a huge Barrera fan myself...Ever since he schooled The Prince,I've been Marco's hard-core fan....Trouble is,I don't know if he still has it..physically that is...to get manny off him for 12rounds.4years ago I'd have said hell yeah. But now,I don't know....but then again,Barrera has suprised us time and again with his comebacks...After the J Jones fights,a lot of people wrote him off...but he came back stronger than ever to lick Morales,Hamed etc...Manny represents a very dangerous problem..for anyone. His buzzsaw come-forward style...speed and power....a southpaw one at that....youth and balls...might just be too big a hurdle for Barrera to scale.
Either way... my heart says Barrera outboxes him...but my head says Manny will be too much...remember he's changed since their first fight....Not by much, but if he was dangerous back then,he's even more so now.
Can't wait for this one.

I don't think this one will be a Pac blowout like many believe.
Barrera and Marquez basically fought to a counterpunching draw in their last bout. Neither fighter looked like they hand a handspeed advantage in that bout. Marquez, barring three knockdowns in the first round, absolutely boxed Pacquiao's ears off. Morales, after he looked a bit slower than in the past against Barrera in their third bout, absolutely boxed Pacquiao's ears off in their first bout.
Who's to say that Barrera cant do it this time?
I think Barrera is going to win this on the cards, jabbing and countering his way to a close but clear decision a la Morales-Pacquiao I.

you MAB fans are in denial. 1 freakin' article and you guys are thumping your chests.
If in the short chance that MAB wins by decision (always will be controversial when facing a pressure fighter like Pac), the fight was rigged for a trilogy.
MAB will go out headbutting or Pac will knock him out before his corner throws in the towel.

He doesn't need to get better to beat an MAB of 2003. All he was using was the straight left all night.
