Is anyone in dispute with them??

Saturday (i'd already registered earlier in the week) Kept hitting select to view and it was having none of it. rang up and she says "it's your phone line", no it's not it works with a telephone handset. "oh right then all I can do is apologise do you want me to cancel everything?" yep.

can I still watch online? "Yep"

Get my online bank statement today and they've taken for both!!!!!!!

I ring up and the woman says "oh we have nothing to do with payments you need to write to the Digi bill people enclosing a copy of your bank statement"

How fucking fuming?:fire

I know it's the principle and really I should kick up a fuss but I'm not gonna bother.

Hopefully they'll stick around and sort out their issues for the Kessler fight.

i had a feeling this would happen, at least you're not alone same thing happened to me.

theyblamed it on my phone line but my line was working fine i wasn't able to watch any of the fights but they still took my money. We really need to do something about this, I hope i'm wrong but they just seem like rogue scammers.

Mine worked perfectly fine. It's my opinion that most of the problems people encountered were due to human error and lack of preperation.

The address they gave me to write to is:

DIGI BILL
PO BOX 69
KIRKCALDY
FIFE
KY2 6WU.

I'll be suprised if I receive a reply but you'd think that with it being a new venture that they'd want to create the best impression possible.............giving me back my money would be a good start!!

Is Watchdog still running?

Is Watchdog still running?

Yep, it is. Try and include the line "potential deathtrap" in your letter to them if you want to get mentioned on the TV.

Got a funny feeling that the same thing will happen to me.

Rung them up on saturday for a refund on the Ch 480 cos I don't have a working phone line which they said they authorized.

Then paid for the online stream (I not getting into that subject again)

Got a funny feeling im gonna be £30 all together out of pocket for a fight that buffered and froze which was being showed free on my big tv after all.

But as dan-b said it was probably my own fault and not Primetime :think

Contract trading standards right away. Don't waste your time writing letters and the like. Trading standards will contact them, and as soon as that happens you'll get a phonecall from Primetime kissing your arse and giving you your money back.

I reckon a lot of the problems may be due to human error, i.e. not having your telephone extension line hooked up properly. It nearly happened to me, luckily I had bought a new telephone line extension earlier that day and when I installed this line it worked.

I called the Primetime customer number last Saturday night and they walked me through a procedure to check that my telephone line was connected properly.

Click Services (on your sky remote control)
Click option 4
Click option 7 "system test"

This should prompt you to say that your telephone line is connected properly. If you hook your phone line again to your sky box, like you did last Saturday night, use the above procedure and it will confirm if the telephone line was correctly installed?

You've admitted to not having a working phone line, so that bit was your fault. Other people's streams worked reasonably well (there are always minor problems, to think otherwise is silly) suggesting your Internet connection who computer isn't up to scratch.

Thing is when I ordered Primetime over the phone last tuesday I told the salesman I did not have a working phoneline and he said it would not be a problem.

It was only pointed out to me that there would be a problem when I read the various threads on here on saturday afternoon.

A large majority of us were then stupid enough to pay another £14.95 legitimately for a service which did work when it has worked fine with many a illegal streams in the past.

But never mind though dan-b, you never had a problem so everythings fine :bart

I doubt they would be able to put together a team of the likes of Rosenthal, Kerr, Bunce, Rawling, Thaxton etc and get dibs on a world title fight if it was a scam. They just rushed it, and as such probably underestimated the amount of orders and then didn't encrypt it so it could be watched for free anyway. That's what happens when you form a PPV channel and rush a production like this in the space of a couple of weeks at most.
