I just saw pretty much the opposite was posted by a guy wondering about boxing a smaller opponent with a tight guard, but what if your facing someone taller and with a longer reach? alot of bobbing and weaving, moving the head, counter punching and over hand rights yes? but should you be trying to get in close to try and pound the body?

Ever watch boxing on espn?
Its all Atlas ever talks about, and while it does get repetitive, he makes some good points.

Article had good points. The only problem is when you fight a tall fighter that fights smart, has great offense, and has a great chin. Tall fighters like Lennox Lewis and the Klitschkos fight incredibly smart. They had great jabs that pretty much dominated almost every shorter opponent.

plenty of feints to bring a reaction then try and get in fast and let your shots go...hard

Always check the sticky threads first ;)

I'll add to that: double up on the jab as the first will usually miss.
