I'm not talking about his official record. I'm speaking about your personal opinion. Is Mayweather undefeated in your eyes?

Yes, 38-0 in my opinion. He had a very close fight with Jose Luis Castillo the first time, but I gave it to Floyd (7-5).

I don't think that he was gifted any decisions or engaged in any fixed fights if that's what you mean. He had some close calls, but for the record, yes I believe him to be truly undefeated.

i thought he lost the first castillo fight....the thing is i actually liked him at that point, i saw him as a super talented kid. he got a lot more obnoxious shortly after that for me.

Mayweather v Castillo I.

I watched the first 5 rounds of Mayweather v Castillo a few months ago. And I couldn't give Castillo a single round. Mayweather used the jab, and not much else, but he was busier and landing more. Castillo marched forward, but was offset by Mayweather's movement and defensive awareness. Extremely ineffective aggression.

I can't mind precisely how I scored it over the full distance, but I scored it for Mayweather.

De La Hoya was slighly ahead after 7-8 rounds, but tiredness cost him down the stretch.

Undefeated, yes.

Yes.

Castillo got off to a slow start and wasn't able to make up for it on my card.

The DLH fight was the opposite, where he had a nice first half, but wasn't able to do so well in the 2nd half.

PBF had a close call with Castillo but squeezed by. He ran from Oscar but did outbox him even though I though old Oscar hit him harder. He desrves respect for sure, hes got talent, but I think his days are numbered now that Paul Williams is the new dude in town. Floyd will retire before he accepts a challenge from PW.

Mayweather might not need to.

Although Williams was light in his last fight, I wonder how much longer he can make 147 with that frame.

I think PW will hold his weight down long enough to raise the purse of a big money fight before he moves up to be a newcomer again in the middles. Millions are counting on it!
It may be his downfall as well but he's gonna manage it like he has in his last 10 fights/

I feel he deserves his undefeated tag. However, I think his first fight with Castillo was and should have been ruled a draw.

Well, only one person agrees with me. I guess we are wrong, then.

He often escapes by the slimmest of margins, 2 fights that were in the gods, Castillo and DLH, but he is non the less unbeaten, that has to be respected.

It just means you scored the fight differently.

IMO he won the first Casstillio fight by being like a super ball on coke the first 6 rounds...I had it easy for Maryweather and I don't like the family...He did lose the 12th round, but I was never so happy as to see a Merryweather actually doing the stand up boxer routine.

same feelings here. he was senstational from 1998 to 01, then it went downhill. he lost to castillo and de la hoya in my eyes
