It's early, but what's the collective prognosis here?
In a sport where start-up orgs have high turnover and low life expectancy, can this one make it to say, 2011?
With credible names like Yves Edwards combined with Mayorga raking in a broader, morbidly curious audience, maybe this outfit can learn from the mistakes of others and emerge as, if not the next huge competitor to UFC, maybe at least as a sustainable "small fish" than can swim around in the same bowl in harmony. If they can last through the honeymoon period of a couple of years putting on consistent events that will generate even small buzz and without needing to resort to too much circus act foolishness (beyond El Matador...in other words no Shaq fights), who knows?
I'm really hoping they do well and that Mayo turns over a new leaf of unexpected success. :good
