IT is easy to see what Mundine is doing.....hes playing it safe and waiting for a title fight he can win....maybe against Sylvester or a shot at a vacant title. :deal

The thing I find so funny is how Mundine gets everybody so upset at who he fights and what he says. :rofl

FFS just forget about Mundine :rofl

Now I'm off on a wine tour for 3 days :woot:cheers

So instead of bagging Mundine why dont you guys try talking about Vic, Rocky or Zappa. :good

I don't doubt his ability, but it does seem to be sliding, he should have blasted the Argie in 5 or 6 easy. I do doubt his heart and his management.

I think he will never fight at 160 again and there will be no geale fight.

The main reason is geale will beat him.

Mundine will go back to 168 and fight.

He is not a top 10 fighter any more, I think he has zero chance in beating top level 168 fighters like Kessler, bute,AA,Froch and likes of bika, ward and dirrel, beats him as well.

I agree with TCW, Mundine will vacate the IBO title and head back to 168lbs, but he's my statement of the day and no I'm defitnitely not a nut hugger of Mandy's like Ash, but Mandy beats Froch at 168lbs - easily on points.

Too much hand speed and would play Froch like he did Green in 06'.

If Mandy's prepared to stump up the dough and bring Froch here, he'd get the result for sure. Alot depends on the outcome of the Super 6's of course. Froch is Mandy's only path to top-flight glory at 168lbs as Kessler (already seen) and AA, as well as maybe Bika are to strong for him. Although with the right prep and strategy, he beats Bika too.

I can't believe I've just typed this, I'm not a nut hugger everyone!!!

u r still wrong though.

bika would put mundine in a coma.

why would he move back up in weight when he has little chance against most of the top guys?

he's better of where he is.

Buster, it's only my opinion and to be frank, it's plainly obvious Mandy is having problems making 160lbs.

It was well noted through boxing circles that Mundine offered Sakio a fight previously (earlier this year) and for good money, yet Sakio's team knocked it back wanting more $. Mundine would in no way offer the fight if he didn't think he was a 'live' chance to win it, hence I think your 'Bika put's Mundine in a coma' comment is a bit over the top.

Bika is no sure thing to beat Mundine in my opinion. Yes, if he catches him, it could be big problems for Mandy, but my comments did say, with the right prep and strategy I think he could nick a result.

I'd give you a head start, if Mundine makes it to the end, you win.

Froch.

I'd back Sakio over Mundine too but I wouldn't give the head start. Mundine is fighting old. 168 or not, Froch and Bika would be too much "man" for Anthony.

My 2c.

Actually no, 100% agree.

As I said in another thread a few days ago, Mandy not making weight for the cabby is just the beginning of him whining about weight.

He's now going to duck Geale, just like he ducked Kessler 2 years ago.

I think we both know Jet that fight will never happen, but yeh, if it were to happen, you could count me in for a bet! :good

I think to be frank, Mundine should really take Bika on at 168lbs. He'll make the weight and Bika, who continually can't make a fight happen may now want to re-visit the offer Mundine's team put to him earlier this year.

As per another post, I agree that he'll chuck the 160lbs title in the bin and vacate. Maybe I'm wrong, just my opinion.

Maybe Bika v Mundine is a possibility but word I'm hearing about Bika now is that he is being handled by a very influential US manager which should translate to his career getting back on track. We'l see what happens there.

Bika/Mundine would be great for here. We just don't have enough quality match ups. Asiku v Ruiz early next month should be a barn burner.

I'm tipping oz FOTY. :bbb

Mundine fights a big fight every so often, Kessler, Green, Geale, so a Bika showdown in 2010 would be great and if promoted well out from the event would sell. People will turn off Mundine as far as PPV buys in both homes and clubs if they keep getting pissed about with Argies.

It needs to be promoted well before also as outside of boxing, Sakio's a no one in Australia and not a draw like Green, and now to a certain extent because of the defeat by Mundine, Geale. Geale's a good fighter, but not a stand-alone PPV fighter by any measure.

Asiku vs. Ruiz should be great. Unfortunately I miss it as I'm flying to NZ that evening!!! Arrgghhh....

how well documented was sakio turning mundine down?

i never read that before. care to show where?

i know it was just your opinion, i just beelieve you are wrong, that's all. mundine cannot ko bika. and i just don't believe he could survive 12 rounds of bika's assault. it would be a great feat if he could beat sakio and it would probably be his best win.

i really hope it happens one day but i just don't see it a risk that mundine will take. it would be good to be proven wrong though.

No, what I said was it was well noted within the boxing community. Sakio in the papers always stated that "Mundine won't fight me, blah, blah" but it was well known there WAS a generous offer, but he wanted more, hence no agreement.

It's only my opinion and I did say, with the right prep and strategy, yes I think Mundine could nick a result against Sakio.

Would you prefer me to say it was common fucking knowledge within the boxing community, you know, actual people involved in the fight game Buster???

The figures that were quoted to me were very generous. Sakio knocked it back and wanted very generous coin, like he's a super draw, when fact is, in Australia he isn't, outside of people who following boxing.

Make no mistake, undercard fighters might get paid in tickets or poorly on a Choc show, but Australian fighters line up to a (pardon the pun) man, wanting a shot at him because he pays them very well, or should I say - 'generous'.
