View Full Version : I am a fat piece of shit.

Me circa 2005 - 179cm, 77kg
Me today - 179cm (No surprises there...), 109kg
Relationships, alcohol and junk food have turned me into a fat, lazy bastard with precious little to offer society. :yep And so I've had enough of flirting with obesity. Over the next 3 months or so I plan on enduring a different kind of physical abuse. Eventually I plan to spar with something other than alcoholism, but my short term goal is rapid weight loss. My training routines will primarily involve extended cardio before breakfast, I'll also be updating my daily food diary in here. Any input at all will be appreciated, whether it's helpful advice or you wanna ridicule me for being a fat, weak willed fuck (The latter will probably help just as much.). I'll be making my first entry tomorrow following my early workout. Peace out, and thanks for your time. :good
EDIT: I'm altering my goal weight to a more civilized 85kgs. So far so good!

Many thanks, gents! Unfortunately society is filled with too many fucking enablers so I'm coming here for the tough love I need to keep in check. Watch out, motherfuckers. I'm determined! :twisted:
Woke up a 10am (Hardly early) and started my day with 100mg of caffeine, then off to the gym... Set myself what I will consider to be my absolute bare minimum over the next few weeks (Will increase it as my fitness improves) and concentrated on completing that for now.
* 5 x 3 minute rounds of speed rope
I'm always honest with the rope. I strive to jump at a rate brisk enough keep me constantly challenged. I also vary my cadence well between jumping, shuffling, side to sides, double unders, you name it.
* 5 x 3 minute rounds of the heavy bag
Fucking disgusted with myself. My punches have lost the kinetic SNAP they had when I was in shape. It's like I'm trying to crack a whip with a pillow of lard tied to the middle and it's absorbing half the force. I feel like a drunk bear clumsily trying to maul a fucking tree. :-(
* 30 mins on treadmill
Started at a pace of 10kph on a 1.5 incline. I've allowed myself 2 breaks of 2:30 during the run. These are taken at half pace for a total of 25 minutes run, 5 mins walk. This is far from what any halfway fit person would consider a challenging run but I know what it is to dig... Unfortunately my shovel just isn't big enough yet.
I left maximum 5 mins rest between activities so I've basically packed this workout into just under 90 mins. Fucking hell it was brutal. I'll be concentrating on improving the quality of my heavy bag workout before I start trying to add crazy shit in.
Hooked into a smoothie when I got home, 250ml low fat milk, a handful of frozen berries and a scoop of low-carb protein. :blood Never tried that shit before. My house mate recommended it.
Weight before workout - 109.2 kgs
Weight after workout - 108.6 kgs
Yeah I know it's mostly gonna be fluids and is likely to fluctuate. This is just how I like to check weight. I'll be Updating my food shit soon. :thumbsup

Your fitness isn't bad for a 'fat piece of shit'
Thanks, man. The truth is I didn't stack on that 32 kilos (Or 70 lbs for imperial folk) because I hate to exercise... Quite the opposite! My problem has always been that I'm a shitty eater, and while I've had the occasional 'fitness kick' over the years I've never really had positive results because I pile in on either shitty food, tremendous amounts of reasonable food (Sushi, etc) or tremendous amounts of shitty food.
This time I'm having a genuine crack at frequent, goal oriented exercise coupled with an aggressive diet. As soon as I can find a good calorie counting website (And if I can be arsed) I'll try and keep a food log here, too...

* Speed rope - 5 x 3 minute rounds
* Treadmill - 30 mins
Pace 10km/h inlcine 1.5, 2 half paced breaks of 2:30. Tore through the run today. Felt good!
* Heavybag - 5 x 3 minute rounds
Still completely shit although I did concentrate a little more on technique today, which felt good. This saw my volume decrease, however.
* Speed bag - 5 minutes cool down
Done at a moderate pace. First time I've touched a speed bag in about 2 years and glad to see my sense of rhythm is still there.

Not the best. I'll try to work out a rough punch count today, about to get in there now... I feel like my heart & lungs are doin' okay, I used to do this workout with a core routine and a weights session or anaerobic calisthenic circut on top depending on the day. And the run was done at 11.5km/h at an inlcline of 3.0. So I got some work to do, and I just gotta stop eatin' like a stupid dildo...

Weight before workout - 108.9kgs
* Speed Rope - 5 x 3 minute rounds
Finished with double unders to failure. Turned otu to be 20 seconds.
* Heavy Bag - 5 x 3 minute rounds
Punch count for rd. 1, 133
Punch count for rd. 2, 125
Couldn't be arsed counting rounds 3 thru 5, but I'm sure my output declined at a similiar rate. My thrown to landed percentage was 100% in all rounds, however. :cool:
* Speed Bag - 5 mins cool down
Moderate pace
* Treadmill - 30 mins
10km/h, 1.5 incline, 2 half pace breaks of 2:30. Felt good.
Weight after workout - 109kgs
That's kinda annoying. Expect to see a slight loss by next week.

* Speed rope - 4 x 3 minute rounds
Got cut short because the gym was so friggin' busy today...
* Treadmill - 30 minutes
Pace 10km/h, incline 1.5, 2 half paced breaks of 2:30. Finished it pretty comfortably. After a fortnight I'll knock it up a notch.
* Heavy bag - 5 x 3 minute rounds.
Grueling. Caught myself getting sloppy several times through the process. Shitty bag session. Also have a pinch in my bicep from throwing the straight left. :twisted:
* Speed bag - 5 mins cooldown.
Pretty happy with my speed bag work. Mostly done at a moderate pace, but sped it up a few times. Startin to regain my relaxed cadence, transitions are getting better.
Weight after workout - 108.1kgs
My eating so far today has been reasonable. Frozen berry shake for breakfast with 2% milk and a scoop of protein. Ate a frozen meal for lunch, and hammered a subway sandwich probably a little too early to count as dinner. One of those healthy ones, but I got cheese and fatty sauce. :yep I did have to do a bastard cunt of a three hour walk today, so I think that can afford me a few extra calories.

Have to recommend those sprint rounds on the heavy bag. I used to have to do them for boxing. If done properly they are great calorie burner and youll definitely see great increases in stamina.

Sprint rounds. :think Constant, high volume, right? How do you work them around your technique sessions? I used to train with a guy who made us do 30 seconds of volume at the end of every round. :barf While it's benifit cannot be questioned I know I'm not ready for that yet. It will destroy the rest of my workout.

New number muthafuckah!!!! Whoo! :happy
* Speed rope - 3 x 5 minute rounds
Decided to reduce my speed rope workout, which is usually quite brisk and challenging, to see if I could get a bit ore quality in my heavy bag workout footwork wise.
* Heavy bag - 5 x 5 minute rounds
And indeed it helped. The legs were lighter and had way better movement around the bag. Yes I plan to jack my workout back up in order to increase general fitness, it just felt good to be able to step into the jab a bit better. Still shitty bag workout. Just not as shitty. :thumbsup
* Speed bag - 3 minutes cooldown
It just did my head in today...
* Treadmill - 30 minutes
Pace 10km/h, one half paced break of 2:30 for a total run of 27:30, 2:30 active rest. Guess I made up for the rope and speed bag with an increased jog.
Weight after workout - 107.3kgs
If I don't drop back into the double digits within 3 weeks at this rate I'll be highly surprised. I'll probably slice through about 10kgs with relative ease before my progress stalls and I need to change it up. But for now it's smooth sailing!
Just hooking into a berry & 2% breakfast shake now. Ditched my house-mate's protein because I read the label today... It's fucking formulated for women! :patsch Fucks sake I'm tryin' to lose the titties, not grow new ones. :-(
Probably gonna have a rest day tomorrow... 4 days on, 1 day off is okay for now. Plus I'm gonna see the Wu-Tang Clan! RZA, GZA, Raekwon, Inspektah Deck, Cappadonna, Masta Killa and U-God are confirmed! Gonna be fuckin' epic!

Decided to dodge the rest day... Reason being that I worked out well yesterday and then went on to do some more good walking and supplemented that with great eating! Healthy breakfast, light lunch, then visited my mother out in Western Sydney. She'd made this fucking fanstastic casserole with massive chunks of steak and carrot all through it. Threw on a plate with 2 potatoes and green beans... :tired Beats the hell out of my canned garbage dude food.
And so I felt a bit like a kid on christmas morning, hoping the scales gave me a good present.
Weight before workout - 106.6kgs
:happy Another new number muthafuckah!!!
* Speed rope - 5 x 3 minute rounds
Shortly after I started my rope work I noticed two really pretty women on those stepping exercise machines nearby and I heard one of them say "Look how good that guy is at skipping...". I did the best rope session I've done yet.
Ah vanity. Definitely my favourite sin! :thedevil1
* Heavy bag - 5 x 3 minute rounds
The 5 days in a row was definitely taking it's toll by then. Felt extremely sluggish for the rest of my workout, starting with the bag. I am happy however with the amount of torque I'm getting from my torso when I throw a 1, 2. Sensed a real improvement. My transition to the hook still sucks though...
* Speed bag - 5 minutes cool down
Moderate pace.
* Treadmill - 30 minutes
Pace 10km/h, incline 1.5, two half paced breaks of 2:30. Grueling. Terrible. Even my feelings were hurting when I limped off that thing.
Weight after workout - 106.5kgs
Been a pretty good week. Maybe treat myself with a beer or two before the Wu-Tang show tonight! :hey Wu-Tang!

They're playing MegaRampage in Melbourne, but that's not coming to Sydney, the Wu are just doing a side show up here. There was practically no fucking advertising for it, either! We'd known about the Melbourne show for a couple of months and they only announced their Sydney gig a couple of weeks ago!

After a forced rest day due to a hangover I was ready to get back into it. I'd spent the first part of my rest/recovery watching old episodes of south park and drinking healthy smoothies, but it eventually came back up in the form of purple, berry flavoured chunder... Had to go to the Japanese place in the foodcourt for some comfort food... Kara'age on rice with yakidori, did the trick if not a little bit fatty... Drank 2 litres of juice over the course of the day before having white rice with tuna for dinner. Bit of a carby day but could have been worse.
Weight before workout - 105.5kgs
Exciting number but proved to be deceptive (As I suspected it would)... My body still hadn't re-hydrated properly from the pisser 2 nights previous.
* Speed rope - 5 x 3 minute rounds
Somewhat forgiving on myself today. I managed to maintain an overall moderate pace but was a little sparing with the sprint bursts and double unders.
* Heavy bag - 6 x 3 minute rounds
Decent workout today. Throwing a lot of power shots in the early going before relaxing into a bit more of a stick-and-move session. The last round felt pretty good in regards to pace and movement.
* Speed bag - 5 minutes cool down
Moderate pace.
* Treadmill - 30 minutes
Pace 10km/h, 1.5 incline, one half paced break of 2:30 for 27:30 run, 2:30 active rest. One more week at this pace and I'll jack it up.
Weight after workout - 106.3
Given I drank about 5 litres of water (Not exaggerating) I think it's a pretty good number and represents a small loss from my last workout, which is always good for a rest day... I'm hoping that by weeks end (I'll be calculating monday to monday) I'll have lost 2-3kgs.

* Speed rope - 5 x 3 minute rounds
Still a little lenient on myself with the rope today. Have to knock it up a notch next time...
* Treadmill - 30 minutes
Pace 10km/h, incline 1.5, 2 half paced breaks of 2:30 for 25 mintes run 5 minutes active rest. This was not particularly challenging. Might think about increasing the difficulty a little sooner that week 3. Though I am starting to get pains in my left shin, may be time for some new trainers...
* Heavy bag - 5 x 3 minute rounds
I could give a little more to the bag but I was happy with my power combo's and double-jab.
* Speed bag - 3 minutes cool down
It was pissing me off so I only did 3 minutes... :conf
Weight after workout - 105.7kgs
Pretty good number, all thing considered! I'll be pushing my luck if I go too much longer without introducing some variety, but I am quite overweight right now, always suspected I'd get a bit of a weight loss "Rush" to start things off. Solid first week.

Yeah, my eating can be a bit sporadic. I've made some rough notes here and there mainly when I do something particularly good or bad. I tend to include them in my ramblings rather than in my more viewer-friendly, multi-coloured exercise layouts.
After the NaS/Chali 2na gig last night I get a couple of tiger pies because I was pissed. :patsch But I did a pretty good workout that morning and had only eaten a bowl of rice (boiled up 1/3 metric cup) with a small can of tuna... One of my diet staples! Still not ideal though...

Week 2
3/11/2009
(Fuckity fucking infernal Melbourne cup day. Fuck that damn horse race)
Well I spent my rest day eating like an absolute dick. I piled in on a stupid amount of crispy chicken, prawn tempura and tuna salad varieties of sushi, blowing about 3 days worth of refined carbohydrate quota out of the water. I also hydrated on ALDI apple and Mango juice ($1.89 for 2 litres, ALDI fucking rules). So it was no surprise when I stepped on the scales this morning...
Weight before workout - 106.9kgs
Not a number I was too happy to see, but I could have expected no better from my shitty eating. Still represents a good loss from week 1.
* Speed rope - 5 x 3 minute rounds
Much more honest effort today than other days. Overall a good, challenging rope session...
* Heavy bag - 5 x 3 minute rounds
I'm feeling good about my power combos at the moment, but I think I'm getting some nasty RSI or some shit in my elbows. I noticed it coming on last workout but today it started to get ridiculous. Round 3 onward I really had to take it easy with the hooks and rips. Might need to do some weighted shadowboxing for a week or so... :think
* Speed bag - 5 minutes cool down
Fast to moderate pace.
* Treadmill - 30 minutes
Speed 10km/h, incline 1.5, 2 half paced breaks of 2:30 for 25 minutes run, 5 minues active rest. Sydney is getting it's first taste of bastard summer weather right now and The treadmill workout was an absolute shit fight because of it. Felt sluggish, sweaty and the air was as thick as cream. * Speed bag - 5 minutes cool down
Moderate pace.
* Treadmill - 30 minutes
Pace 10km/h for the first 15 minutes followed by 5 minutes at 10.5km.h, 2:30 active rest at 5km/h, 6:30 at 10.5 km/h, last minute 12km/h. Total of 27:30 run 2:30 active rest.

A nice new low after a very disciplined day of eating yesterday. This morning I've had the usual frozen berry smoothie with 2% milk but unfortunately caved to temptation and ate a caramel muffin that one of my house-mates offered me. Fucking enablers! All good, I'll be eating not but boiled rice and Tuna for lunch and dinner. Fingers crossed I can crack below 104 by weeks end...

And a smoothie for dinner. :-( That shit wasn't easy. But I got a good pre-workout number...

* Speed rope - 5 x 3 minute rounds
Hectic rope session today. :smoke 2 sprints per round and body cross double-unders to finish each round. Angry workout. Felt awesome!
* Treadmill - 30 minutes
Pace 10.5km/h, incline 1.5, I half paced break of 2:30 for 27:30 run, 2:30 active rest. A good challenging run, I'm lifting the bar in general in regards to cardio at the moment... Getting into the workout "Zone"... Overall my mind is much stronger.
But Unfortunately for me and my zone there were fucking yoga & kickboxing classes on in the boxing are of my gym all morning! I finished my run and decided to read the paper for the 30-45 minutes it would take for their classes (And seemingly endless cool down stretches) to finish, but I lost my sweat and my warm-up sitting there. My joints went cold and I knew I would have to start from scratch. If there's anything that pisses me off it's NOT BEING ABLE TO DO MY BARE MINIMUM!!! Fuck! I guess it's 10 rounds of heavy bag tomorrow. :barf
I'll have to be better organized and check the timetable next time...
Weight after workout - 104.5kgs
New number muthafuckah!!! Well on course to crack the 1 stone overall weight loss mark by weeks end. And eat that tasty, tasty reward meal. :hat Just finished my breakfast which was a healthy smoothie and a tandoori chicken roll from the Vietnamese bakery... The only bad thing on the roll was a spread of whole egg mayo, other than that it's all chicken breast, thigh and salad. I figure it's okay to feast on something relatively carb dense in the morning...
I did however get it swimming in soy sauce, which is high in sodium, she also put regular salt on it (Which I specifically said I didn't want)... So if my weight reads bigger tomorrow due to water retention I'll take it with a grain of... Salt!!! Bwahahahahhahahahahahhah!!! :rofl I'm fuckin' funny!

Weight before workout - 104.4kgs
* Speed rope - 5 x 3 minute rounds
Another good rope session. Sprints and body cross double-unders in every round.
* Heavy bag - 12 x 3 minute rounds
In your fucking face, universe! Given that I missed my heavy bag workout yesterday I wanted to try to make it up today, or maybe just a bit of it if I became too gassed. But I felt great! The pain in my joints had subsided and I really mauled the fucking hell out of that thing! Working of my 1,1,2 combination, working high and low with it, power combo's. I did 5 rounds, felt alright, then immediately decided to go the full ten. Then when I'd done the ten I decided to suck it up and punch through a couple of championship rounds (Wanky, I know, but it got me to the finish)! And in those last two rounds I went totally for broke. Extremely happy with my bag workout today! :thumbsup
* Speed bag - 10 minutes cool down
Doubled my workout on this for the same reason, but there's only so excited one can be over an unusually good speed bag session. :conf
* Treadmill - 30 minutes
Pace 10.5 km/h, inlcline 1.5, 2 half paced breaks of 2:30 for 25 minutes run, 5 minutes active rest. After the effort I put in today this was pretty tough. Still, I got through it.
Weight after workout - 104.2kgs
I drank a LOT of water today. I expect that after my workout, healthy eating and an 8 hour bar shift tonight I'll be well below 103kgs by tomorrow. I'm well on course for my reward meal. :happy
Just a note... I actually can't understand why I had so fucking much energy today. It's my fourth workout day in a row and I worked last night 'til 1am, getting only 6 hours of sleep. :think The only thing I can think of is that I drank a double espresso at approximately 10pm last night. I used to take 200mgs of caffeine before exercise but stopped on a doctors advice and have since laid of stimulants nearly altogether. My sensitivity may have risen but the coffee I drank only had 160mgs of caffeine... Anyone (Who can be arsed reading this long-winded drivel) know how long that stuff is likely to stay in your system? :think

I lost 45lbs 2 years ago. Went from 225lbs to 180lbs.
I was able to maintain that weight for 2 years but I've recently started to get lazy.
I've packed about 10 lbs in the last 3 months. I need to get back in the gym! It's hard tho. I hurt my knee last winter and I can't run anymore without having excruciating in my left knee afterword.

Keep up the good work man!
Running was my favorite workout. :|
Thanks mate! I know what you mean about getting lazy, that's pretty much what landed me in this predicament...
How's your swimming? If I wasn't so shit in the water I'd definitely give it a place in my routine. Apparently it's great for your aerobic and anaerobic energy systems. I don't know if that's any better for your knee but I'm familiar with the toll running can take on your joints.

Week 2
7/11/2009
Weight before workout - 103kgs
When I said yesterday that I expected to be below 103kgs by today I meant 104 (As my weight was only slightly above that). So to clock in bang on 103 before my workout was an awesome feeling.
* Speed rope - 5 x 3 minute rounds
My fitness has definitely increased over these two weeks. Having worked out 4 days in a row prior to today my limbs were tired and heavy, I expected to feel extremely sluggish and lethargic. But after about 1 minute on the rope my legs were pumping and shuffling well. My body is able to kick right into gear when required. Good rope session.
* Heavy bag - 5 x 3 minute rounds
The joint soreness was back with a vengeance. I started quite slowly and maintained a relatively relaxed pace throughout today's bag session, with sporadic power combo bursts. My volume was satisfactory but I wasn't all too creative with my jabs. Now's no time to develop shitty habits.
* Speed bag - 5 minutes cool down
I didn't die of a heart attack so all went well, I guess...
* Treadmill - 30 minutes
Pace 10.5km/h, incline 1.5, 2 half paced breaks of 5km/h for 25 minutes run, 5 minutes active rest.
Weight after workout - 102.9kgs
New motherfucking number! Eking ever closer to glorious double-digitsville!

WEEK 2 SUMMARY
2/11/2009 - 8/11/2009
Weight at beginning of week 1 - 106.9kgs (235.7lbs)
Workouts - 5
Weight at end of week 1 - 102.9kgs (226.9lbs)
Gross weight loss for week 2- 4kgs (8.8lbs)
Overall weight loss - 6.3kgs (13.9lbs)
The calendar reckons there's one day left in the week, but so help me god I'm resting tomorrow. In other good news I've lost 1 stone (6.35kgs, close e-fucking-nough I say!), which entitles me to a reward meal! Now I can't decide between getting this;

Week 3
9/11/2009
Ah, a new week. My goal of double digits by weeks end may well be hampered by my mate's wedding which falls on Friday. I'll just have to be extra well-behaved through the week and maybe I can make it.
Decided to go with the bolognese for my reward meal, and by cripes it was like hardcore taste bud pornography. I made about 1.5kgs of the stuff and ate it all in one sitting, no shit. 1 bowl after another 'til all I could do was lay flat on my back and watch Rocky II. Glorious! Anyways, onto the exercise.
Weight before workout - 103.4kgs
* Speed rope - 5 x 3 minute rounds
Typically high-quality rope workout today. Rhythm is improving greatly.
* Heavy bag - 5 x 3 minute rounds (Boxing)
An oddly sluggish hand session considering the rest day. For some crazy reason it was difficult to simply hold a proper guard today. Fatigue was a real issue...
* Heavy bag - 2 x 3 minute rounds (Kickboxing)
Presto! Found my wee dose of variety for now. Slipped into an orthodox stance and threw a few punch/kick combinations and had a wicked stitch within minutes. Fuck me sideways, I understand why kickboxing and MMA fights are scheduled for fewer rounds now. :barf
* Speed bag - 5 minutes cool down
What does this thing actually do?
* Treadmill - 30 minutes
Pace 10.5km/h, incline 1.5, 1 half paced break of 5km/h, final minute 12km/h at an incline of 8.0. Total 27:30 run 2:30 active rest.
Weight after workout - 103.1kgs
Although it was an altogether sluggish, tired workout today I managed to get through it and add a few extra challenges. After some walking and healthy eating today I expect to be well below 103 after tomorrows session.

6 rounds of all out 20 second heavy-bag sprint punches (basic 1-2s)
** rest 90 seconds after each round
you can choose to increase a round or decrease the rest period by 5 seconds for progression when you want (but this is more than enough for a start). Don't increase the 20 seconds though, because you will no longer perform at your "best" after that time span. This is a high intensity interval training exercise that's an addition to your current workout. You will hate me if you try it.

Week 3
10/11/2009
I kind of messed up on my diet last night, got some lean chicken skewers but also a pretty big serve of mash because I was hangin' for a substantial meal. Not the worst of slip-ups, but got an unpleasant surprise from the scale this morning.
Weight before workout - 104kgs
GET FUCKED! :twisted: That pisses me off... But there's a lesson to learn here. No time to piss and moan, just need to get back down to business...
* Speed rope - 5 x 3 minute rounds
Felt pretty light and springy considering. My coordination is improving every day.
* Heavy bag (Boxing) - 5 x 3 minute rounds
Not a terrible hand session, but could have given more time to effective movement. Volume was okay...
* Heavy bag (Kickboxing) - 5 x 3 minute rounds
Fucking hell kicking sucks the wind out of you. Output was mediocre but I honestly challenged myself when it came to leg-kicks. Hard session.
* Treadmill - 30 minutes
Pace 10.5km/h, incline 1.5, 2 half paced breaks of 2:30 for 25 minutes run, 5 minutes active rest. Last 5 minutes was run at 11km/h.
Weight after workout - 103.3kgs
Okay, so that drastic drop probably means a lot of the excess weight I was carrying was fluid and other crud, but I still hate taking a backward step. Better eating for the rest of the week...

Week 4
17/11/2009
Where to start? My fat ass fell off the bandwagon in a big way come my mate's wedding. There was beer, champagne, red wine, white wine, big fuck off jugs of Pimms with fruit and shit floating in it... Wedding cake... Fatty food... Cocktails. And to make matters worse I remedied my hangover with day after day of shitty food. Terrible, terrible lapse. Alcohol is my kryptonite. I's failed to record a workout on the 12/11, after which my weight sat at a low 102.9kgs.
Weight before workout - 104.9kgs
I expected worse, but sometimes I'll get a delayed jump in weight. back down to business is the only thing now.
* Speed rope - 5 x 3 minute rounds
Felt tired and lethargic, plus my rope is about to die. It's frayed almost to the middle by one of the handles.
* Heavy bag (Boxing) - 5 x 3 minute rounds
Terrible punch output today.
* Heavy Bag (Kickboxing) - 5 x 3 minute rounds
By now fatigue in my shoulders was becoming a real issue, almost no torque on my left whatsoever. Extremely disappointing. My kicks were okay but didn't feel the satisfying pain through my obliques that I got last week.
Weight after workout - 105kgs
Clearly there's still a lot of crud in my system. No excuses, have to lay off the shitty foods and juice again. Cunting cunt of a week.

Week 4
19/11/2009
Took a day off yesterday to buy some new gear I needed. Trainers, hand wraps, speed rope, shorts... While I wasn't necessarily happy to skip a day at this point, it psyched me up pretty good.
Weight before workout - 104.7kgs
* Speed rope - 5 x 3 minute rounds
Pretty good workout today. Slack with the double-unders, but I'll build it up through the week.
* Heavy bag (Boxing) - 5 x 3 minute rounds
My jabbing and movement was essentially non-existent today. All power combos... Output was good but I need to concentrate more on boxing the bag, not punching the shit out of it, next time.
* Heavy bag (Kickboxing) - 5 x 3 minute rounds
Kicking was alright, could push myself to do more. But when my kicks failed I made up for it in punches... Not he worst, but I could have done better.
* Treadmill - 30 minutes
Pace 10.5km/h, incline 1.5, 2 half paced breaks of 2:30 for 25 minutes run, 5 minutes active rest. I bought trail x-trainers yesterday, the girl told me that the only difference between them and regular x-trainers is the more rugged soles. I wish she'd told me how heavy and cumbersome they are. :roll: Ah, well... Whatever doesn't kill me...
Weight after workout - 104.1kgs
I don't wanna speak too soon but it looks like I got off rather lightly for all my shitty eating and drinking.

All good mate! Thanks for the encouraging words! :thumbsup Before I stacked the weight on I was 77kgs (170lbs). Having lost a bit already I'm now down to 104.1kgs (229.5lbs). It's a mammoth jump, I'd like to get down to about 85kgs (187lbs), then see how I feel. Getting closer to 30 so my body will have changed a bit. Still a long way to go but I'm feeling more positive about it all than I have for years!

20/11/2009
Weight before workout - 103.3kgs
Not a bad number, feel like I'm back on track.
* Speed rope - 5 x 3 minute rounds
Fuck, I'll be happy when I break these new fucking trainers in. They're definitely not made for ball-of-foot dominant activities like rope.
* Heavy Bag (Boxing) - 5 x 3 minute rounds
The jab was a lot better today, but the movement wasn't. Although I feel I've made progress with my balance and transitions.
* Heavy bag (Kickboxing) - 5 x 3 minute rounds
These bastard trainers aren't great for kicking the bag, either. Felt like I was wearing tight steel-cap boots. :twisted:
* Treadmill - 30 minutes
Pace 10.5km/h, incline 1.5, 2 half paced breaks of 2:30 for 25 minutes run, 5 mintues active rest.
Forgot to take my weight after he workout, but it was fucking 36 celcius at least today! I wouldn't be surprised if I lost a clean half kilo today... I'll take weight tommorrow, hopefully I'll be below 102kgs.

Week 5
24/11/2009
Okay, so weeks 3 & 4 have been a complete write-off. Shitty food, shitty exercise... But strangely I seem not to have stepped backward, rather stepped sideways, as I've still shown a slight loss in weight since my last workout (Friday 20/11). Even having eaten not one but two delicious KFC Ultimate Burger Mealsİ since. :think Perhaps my metabolism is improving.
Weight before workout - 103kgs
* Speed rope - 5 x 3 minute rounds
* Heavy bag (Boxing) - 5 x 3 minute rounds
* Heavy bag (Kickboxing) - 5 x 3 minute rounds
Pretty decent kick output but I made barely any attempt at mixing up the punch/kick combos. Served it's purpose as a workout, though...
* Treadmill - 30 minutes
Pace 11km/h, incline 1.5, two half paced breaks of 2:30 for 25 minutes run, 5 minutes active rest.
Weight after workout - 102.6kgs

25/11/2009
Weight before workout - 101.5kgs
New number motherfuckers! :happy
* Speed rope - 3 x 3 minute rounds
I'm being extremely liberal with the term "speed" here. I don't mean to whine about my trainers all the time but the toes on my left foot look like they've been smashed with a hammer. It's not good for my rope workout which I usually take at a brisk pace. That bitch at the sports store. That total, utter bitch.
* Heavy bag (Boxing) - 12 x 3 minute rounds
Decided to take it easy on my foot and save it for the run, so I did more than double my usual heavy bag punches. Made a conscious effort to use the jab a lot more today, but my output wasn't the greatest. Still a nice, tough workout, though.
* Treadmill - 30 minutes
Pace 11km/h, incline 1.5, two half paced breaks of 2:30 for 25 minutes run, 5 minutes active rest.
Weight after workout - 101.3kgs
Hopefully with some good eating I can crack-double digits by weeks end. Got a lunch with a friend today and I'll be eating a wee bit of fat, nothign too major though, try to find a steak and mash, lesser of the two evils kinda thing. Anyways, all is good for now.

Week 5
28/11/2009 & 29/11/2009
Okay, I'm recording two workouts here as I didn't get around to recording one yesterday, they're both the same except that I didn't do a treadmill workout yesterday. My weight numbers are only for today's workout.
Weight before workout - 103kgs
Okay, now's the time to get right back on fucking task. I've been extremely lenient with my eating of late and it's reflected on the scale. I rode an early surge of motivation to an approximate loss of 7kgs, now I need to regain my discipline.
* Speed rope - 5 x 3 minute rounds
Back in my old trainers and I smashed a great rope session. Little less support from them but less painful altogether. I'm pissed that I wasted 100 bucks. :-(
* Heavy bag (Boxing) - 5 x 3 minute rounds
I think my lungs have improved for the kickboxing. Pretty sound effort.
* Heavy bag (Kickboxing) 5 x 3 minute rounds
Dismal punch output, but a good amount of kicks, got a nice pain through my abdominal wall.
* Treadmill - 30 minutes
Pace 11.5km/h, incline 1.5, two half paced breaks of 2:30 for 25 minutes run, 5 minutes active rest.
Weight after workout - 102kgs
As usual a workout seems to have washed a lot of the crud left in my system from eating crappy, salty, preservative-laden food. I'll fucking reach double digits by Thursday if it fucking well kills me! :twisted:

Okay, so I had a day off work and ate like a king, it's basically what I do. Mainly because when I do work it's easier to go without snacking as I haven't the time to think about it. But A change I've decided to make is to slow my workout back down. My recovery was too slow after my 10-round days that finished with a slightly faster run. I have to do a workout that's conducive to my daily routine. Anyways, the next 4 days should be good for a loss of about 1.5kgs.

Well, it's been a while. Shit's been going a little bit bananas in life recently, and now the dust has settled, leaving me pretty much where I started. I hadn't been in the gym so far this year, so yesterday was a feeling-out process as much as anything...
* Speed rope - 3 x 3 minutes
Pace was good and brisk, but the lungs couldn't keep up with the body. Started a 4th munite but gassed pretty quickly.
* Heavy bag - 3 x 3 minutes
All things considered, output was pretty good on the heavy bag. Had some nice kinetic snap on my punches, but again, gassed quickly.
Well, it was a shitty session, but it was a session none the less... I didn't put too much pressure on myself (Which has to change pretty quickly if I want any results...), it was more about guaging where I was at. I'll be looking to do my afforementioned bare minimum next time... Baby steps, futhamucker...

The reason your still a fat peice of shit is because your not passionate enough about this. You need a better reason to lose weight.
Get involved with people who are training for a competition (boxing,running,kickboxing... anything). Losing weight "because I got a bit too big" is rarely enough. There is almost always a bigger motivation.
Know this: Your going to be this way for the rest of your life. Only YOU can change it. Everybody you meet will judge you as a lazy pussy for not having the balls. Do you really want to go through the rest of your life knowing this is what people think of you? Woud you not rather walk into a room knowing your in top physical condition and feeling great?

Wa-hey, kinda cool to get some interest in this dusty old log of mine...! Thanks lads! I fell off for a while, then took a 2 month vacation to Europe (Yeah, fuckloads of booze and food), and am way back at square one, looking at what I lost. But on the upside, I've smashed three sessions in the last 5 days and am actually feeling excited about training again, the weight loss is secondary. A mate of mine is about three months out from a charity fight and he's egging me into it, too! I'd have to lose a lot of weight, then start sparring , I'd probably get thrown into the one in six months time. But either way it's got me giving a shit again, so that's good.
What is that in pounds?

damn bro, start workin out.. you train boxing? if you want i can help you givin u some sessions from my training log
I'll have a look over it, thanks man!
You're right on the money with the boxing thing, it's actually what has gotten me back into the gym!
But that "This is what people think" schtick really means nothing to me. I don't care what people think, this is more about how I feel about myself. Other people can pretty much suck my balls.
