I still think the McCall v Bruno show is still his best promotion even after all those years. Sky also knew how to put on an event the - the show lasted 4 hours

I think McCall/Bruno showed boxing was dying, it was OK, but it was like Ali/SpinksII; one last bit of history, but we all knew, even if we were in denial, the magic was gone.
****** was so much better in the 80s, where he was not the establishment, and was edgy and daring. The slippery slope began with arguably his biggest individual triumph; Marsh/Manley.

I think ****** has really lost his edge.
Shame really.

The Naz nights were fantastic but that has a lot to do with Naz being so charasmatic and entertaining.

Kessler's walk to the ring that night gave me shivers - the music, the atmosphere. I was sat about 20 rows back and near where he walked in and he looked mean as fuck. I thought Calzaghe was going to lose that night after the first four rounds but he turned the fight round brilliantly.
Added bonus was that my cousin fought on the bill that night and won his second pro fight so it was a great weekend! :thumbsup

Tony Bellew. I was sat with him, Crolla Arnie etc we were sat just behind Kessler's corner...was brilliant. Stood on our seats at time when Joe was starting to dominate.

I'm actually from Milton Keynes, but my family is from Liverpool - I'm the southern softie! I've not been to the Arena before, I'm told it's a quality venue though.
I'm going as well on Friday, it's an excellent bill isn't it. Not sure if you've seen him before but keep an eye out for Stephen Smith, he's something special. He's from the same amateur club as Ant (Rotunda) and he is a very, very good prospect...
Enjoy :good

Only seem Liam fight once and he did look very good but against a shite opponent! Talented boys though, that's for sure!
Unfortunately, the boxing talent in our family didn't find it's way to me :patsch

Bruno v McCall was a fantastic emotional night, littlle union jack flags were on all the seats, fantastic firework and laser enterance for Big Frank walking down a huge ramp to be joined by Nigel Benn straight after his win carrying the union jack. Great night, grown men crying everywhere when he got the decision
