he suffered many losses but
wins over the very good coralles, very talented johnson, current king casamayor, diaz, bazan, lazcano and a very debated decision agaist all time great floyd mayweather.
i think hes pretty much on the cusp of being great

Yes, near great fighter, but not quite a great. A HOFer in my opinion though.

Among the credible names he fought Jauregui, Mayweather, Stevie Johnston and Corrales all twice. Add Casamayor, Lazcano, Julio Diaz and many more.
Did not always had the greatest of success but for 7 years he was among the elite and he did it like i said earler by fighting a high level of competition.
He gets my vote for the HOF.

Castillo has a handful of losses, but that shouldn't exclude him from being considered a " great ". He's accomplished so much in his career.

JLC had a very good career. To me, "very good" doesn't equal a HOF nod. "Great" does.
