The funny thing about this post is that I actually was watching the fight on mute. I was focusing on practicing logic games for the LSAT with the PPV on in the backhround for most of the card, and I just didn't feel like listening to Rogan or Goldberg when I starting paying attention during the main event. IMO Shogun landed the more significant shots in the fight, and it showed as he had Machida bloody and hobbled. I had the first even and only gave Machida the third. Shogun clearly did enough to win the fight.

I didnt catch the actual fight and only saw a glimpse of the match when it ended, when they were announcing the score cards. The impression I got without actually watching the fight but based on how the fighters looked is that Machida looked more damaged than usual and Shogun looked less damaged and more confident (like he won the fight)... I think Rua won the 4th and 5th comfortably with the 3rd possibly being slightly closer. The 2nd was really close and could have gone either way. Just for me after the 2nd round, Machida really started to feel the effects of those leg and body kicks and with Shogun not relenting with his gameplan he started to fall behind. Great gameplan from Shogun and it was executed brilliantly.
