Ok havent seen the card yet so i cant make any assumptions about Machida's peformance. But taking into account all the opinions around here about the decision anyone fancy Machida's chances vs Lesnar now?:lol:

You know what ? I'd actually give Machida the advantage...

Based on Lesnar's performance against Couture & on Machida's elusive style , i think Lesnar would have to work his ass off just to even manage to get Machida on the ground...And lesnar's stamina is not good enough to last 5 full rounds.

(not when he's forced to make a lot of efforts). His stamina problem was exposed vs Couture. (a fight he could've won on endurance alone..)

A guy like Cain Velasquez for example (who's stamina is way better than lesnar's or Carwin's )...could have a descent chance too. (unfortunately his striking is nothing special & he has no KO power but he's a solid wrestler though).

As I always thought, Brock will grab him and then pain will ensue.

I think Machida beats him on defense and accurate counters.

I predict after Lesnsar takes him down he lands huge hammerfists and elbows to Machidas, forcing the ref to jump in and stop the fight, declaring Machida the winner.

Afterwords 2% of MMA fans will say those who thought Lesnsar won were just influenced by Rogan implying that the huge hammerfists and elbows were hurting Machida, and that only meatheads think pounding your opponents face in before the ref is forced to stop the fight is anywhere near as great as Machidas elegant karate.

As I've said before, I applaud Machida for having high aspirations and wanting to test himself. With that said, I thought even before the Shogun fight that Lesnar would beat the hell out of Machida. If it was a kickboxing fight, Machida could probably stay out of range and win on points. But it's not. Lesnar would easily take Machida down and be simply too big for Machida to wriggle free from. At that point, it's a GnP win for the big man.
