What's up guys,
I'm a bit confused as to what my target should be on either side of an opponents body. I learned that on right side of my opponents body the liver is located, so I should throw a left hook just below the ribcage and above the hip. However isn't the right kidney located around the same area? Am I aiming for one organ and not the other, or should I just be targeting that general area?
Also, is this the same area I should target on his left side with a right hook (I know there is no liver on his left side, only the other kidney)? Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm just not sure which organ to go for, so I was looking for some clarification. Thanks in advance.

Kidney's are more towards the back and you will likely get called by the ref if you target them.
Kidney punches are on the back, and therefore illegal. The liver is rather big. You'll take one soon and after that you will never forget where it is :D

So do you guys agree that the left hook to the body is more effective than the right hook on account of where liver is located?

yes.
I will never forget the first serious liver shot I took. Immediately knew I had 2 choices. Should I throw up on the canvas, or on the pricks shoes who just did this horrible thing to me.
Watch footage of Marco Barrera for a masterclass in how to throw a left hook to the liver.

You want to shoot that shot under the left elbow, stay on that left side to get it off..

I thought the liver was on a person's right side, therefore you would want to shoot it under his right elbow (with the left hook)?

yes you are correct, right side. And when u get hit there, hard, about 3 seconds later u realize exactly where it is....as you fall to your knees and wait to barf.

I got hit right in the liver tonight in sparring. I've been hit with some big shots to the face, but I was able to continue to fight. Tonight, after getting hit in the liver, I took a knee and couldnt breathe. Its safe to say I was done for the night.

Yes it is, but when your facing your opponent its on your left side.... their right side... Said their left elbow by mistake, its under their right elbow. but when you face forward, its on your left side.
