Manny Pacquiao will fight Michael Katsidis "if the price is right".

Manny Pacquiao said recently hard hitting WBO interim lightweight champion Michael Katsidis will be considered as a future opponent "if the price is right".

Golden Boy matchmaker Sampson Lewkowicz singled out Katsidis as the logical choice for Pacquiao to fight because of his exciting Artuo Gatti type style. Pacquiao said he wouldn't rule out Katsidis even if it means moving up to the 135 pound devision, it depends on the offer.

Katsidis should fight someone in his division. Enough fooling around with Filos who have moved up from the featherweight division all the way up to lightweight I speak of ( Czar Amonsot). Pac started at 106 lbs and 135 is pushing it. I dont think he'll move up. Diaz is the toughest test for Katsidis right now this is the ultimate challenge for the self proclaimed Spartan warrior. is Katsidis ducking Diaz?

His best weight was probably around 126, although he has still looked the goods at 130. He could make 135, and still be a dangerous fighter, and he is a big name with some great experience.

His biggest advantage agaisnt anyone though is his speed and punching power. As he moves further up in weight both of these aspects are diminished. Pac is not a guy like floyd who outclasses you with technique. He relies heavily on his natural ability, which will make it a tougher fight then most will admit against a big, natural 135 pound guy.

Like i said Melissa here is a great chance at a decent story within the boxing circles of Aussie Boxing fans im just trying to give you more info into what goes on. I mean Katsidis and David Diaz fought around the same time and with Julio Diaz and Juan Diaz not fighting until the 13th of October i doubt any of those two would be ready for a fight against Katsidis until say April at the earliest.

Im just trying to give you some info. Thats it you can take it or leave it shit i dont really care but this story of Katsidis vs Diaz will only grow with the backing of HBO.

OH and this goes to every one from what ive read and heard that HBO are trying to get a fight between Katsidis vs David Diaz to happen for the start of 2008.

They want a slugfest to start of the year and thought these two names would be perfect and are trying to get both parties interested.

Now David DIaz is a safer easier fight for a up and comer like Rocky.

To Melissa this would have been a better subject to write about in your boxing column.
Also Melissa dont take what i say to heart im just stating what i feel has more of a chance of happening in the boxing world.
