If this fight does take place on october 6 who do you see winning, I like both fighters so its tough for me to pick one or thr other. Mccall is certainly hungry enough with a top notch chin and above average power, while Peter has great power and a good chin himself. I just wonder if Peter will try and turn this fight into a war or try and box like he did so well against Toney in there second fight, one things for sure this fight will help clear up a heavywieght division thats filled with clutter.

I see Mccall beating Peter by UD, I dont think Peter will be able to cope with someones whos able to take his power and not be intimidated by him.

Competitve fight with noone going down, and someone winning a close decision. Probably Peter wins this one, but by SD.

not a very astout observation...

to imply that McCall in his late 30's is somehow a better boxer/power puncher than Wlad Klitschko in his prime is utterly ridiculous and laughable. Even worse Mccalls 42 now, but he keeps himself in great fighting shape for the most part.

compare the best Peter knockouts and the best McCall knockouts and see for yourself, also look at their respective competition.. I wouldn't say Peter is a bigger puncher, but I would say Peter is less experienced.

It won't be competitive, you all underrate Peter. McCall had a very close fight with an overweight, unmotivated and never was in Sinan Samil Sam.

Peter will stop the old man, most likely on damage. McCall tends to tire out these days and Peter has the power to take advantage of that.

I like this fight because we know what McCall used to have but don't know if he still has it. We know he still has tremendous punching power, but we question his endurance and championship heart.
If Olivers head is clear, he's got a hella punchers chance if he gets aggressive. My guess is Peter will box the early rounds to play safe, and if McCall doesn't get up, Peter will move in for a kill.
I'll have to think more on this one because I haven't seen McCall fight in a few years.

I think McCall is one fighter that is much like Peter, only that Peter is jounger and even stronger. McCall might have the even better chin though.

McCall by 3rd round TKo. he'll catch him early and often. hell, if wlad had peter on jello legs imagine what mccall would do to him.

Getting jello legs and not going down on a Wlad flush left hook isnt bad considering Peter took hard flush shots from Wlad and never went down. Lets not confuse China Chin with lack of power... a fighter may very well have a china chin but can posses good power.

In regards to the fight, I think this would be a bad fight for Peter. I think Peter is not really a heavyweight (at this stage) to outpoint a skilled heavyweight, unless he has a huge physical advantages, such as his fight with Toney. His real chance of winning against a more technical boxer, such as McCall, would be to knock him out. Unfortunately, McCall seems to take punches very well, and he is a big guy himself, so he wouldnt be physically overmatched. I would pick McCall by SD or UD.

I would love Mccall to win and he has a chance but can he land hard early shots against Peter? I think Mccall may be hitting the canvas for the first time

Wow so now McCall has as much skill as James Toney? :patsch

Sam isn't knocking him out. But Sam will win a UD here. Unlike that other Sam.

Actually, if McCall drops that WBC International title he's currently holding, then he can skip fighting Gomez.

Gomez is the #1 contender for McCall's WBC International title, not for anything else. McCall ditches that in favour of the full WBC title, and I think the WBC would back him over this as well, Gomez won't have a contractual leg to stand on.
