That was TERRIBLE. Literally both were punched out after 2 mins of sparring.
I love the beef between Rampage and Evans. I need to see that fight!
Love Rampages outburst on the door.
I really like the show, just terrible fights.
That Brendan bloke might have some class as will Nelson. I think Kimbo got a tough match up, he could've beat many others. Looking forward to see if Marcus can make his size and strength count.

Hmm....interesting that two of the most out of shape looking guys (Nelson and Schoonover) seemed to have the most prepared cardio, whereas guys like Mcsweeny and Shivers and Mitrone and Junk looked horribly gassed.
Anyway, this happens every single season of TUF. Everyone looks like shit because they don't get to prepare for these fights the way they normally would. Normally guys get to work towards their peak and no when to cool and for how long before their fights and on the stupid show they get, what two days notice?
Also, EVERY SINGLE SEASON the first round fights make half the guys on the show look like shit. It always gets better in the later rounds. There should be plenty of good fights coming up, they just won't include Kimbo.

Marcus seems to have some JJ skill too which is nice.
I think Kimbo would have beaten some other people as well. I think the worst thing in this series is the cardio of some of the guys its sickening.

Pro fighters shouldnt be gassed after half of one round under any conditions. Its a joke.

I don't think Schoonover or Nelson showed unbelievable cardio. There cardio was okay relatively speaking and that means the other guys cardio was absolutely shocking. I think if they trained harder they'd have better cardio. Suprise suprise, Mitrone was having bacon for breakfast and Schoonover is a fattie while drinking bear near his fight time.

Easy to say, but it's a 100% clear trend that guys gas and look like shit on the show and don't when they fight after the show. There's a huge process of getting ready for the day of the fight and they don't get to do that on the show. Also, they're nervous and away from home and blah blah blah. No one from that show is ever as bad or good as they look.

The worst part about it was Dana hyping it up... I'd be embarrassed if I was Dana, and would try y best to sneak out the back.:-(

thats what I'm confused about, how did mcsweeney manage to get such a good pro kickboxing record (41 and 7) with such awful cardio
doesn't make sense
with all the hype this season has gotten i figured it would be good, every fight has sucked ass,the only thing that keeps me watching is the beef with rashad and page,i think it funny as hell.its a shame that they wont fight now

Exactly. When someone knows three months in advance of when the date of the fight is, they tailor their workouts and sparring and rest and diet and everything else so that they peak when they're supposed to fight. Some of these guys who have very little experience might only look a little better with a real schedule and training camp, but most of them would look a ton better, at least cardio-wise.

Your right to a point, but when you can't make it past two minutes? You have to admit that's pitiful. That is worse than the amateurs and these guys are "professionals".
They belonged in a Toughman competition and not the octagon, which is what this season is turning out to be, nothing more than a Tough man competition.

I am beginning to doubt Kimbo fights on TUF again considering the talks of him fighting Houston Alexander.

Nelson vs Kimbo is probably the highlight of this season.
The fights in this season have not been good, on top of that, the best guys out of this entire group will have no chance against even current B level UFC heavy's like Kongo and Herring. Heck, most would even pick Mostapha Al-Turk over them. This show unlike it's predecessers did nothing to bring depth to the UFC HW division.

I was only really interested in kimbo. I don't see anyone even if the winner looks good, going very far. Being honest I wasn't even that interested when Kimbo was fighting, I think Rampage and Rashad not fighting means it feels like it's leading up to nothing. I would rather watch an hours highlights of the coaches funniest moments.
Anyone on the show likely to prove me wrong? From what I have seen, I can't believe there will be.

Well, most of the fights have been ending in the first round with boring ass submissions rather then KO's. It's the worst season of fights I've seen

Junk is the worst fighter I've ever seen, not joking.
He was squared up the entire fight just waiting to be to knocked out.
I'm wondering if Dana holds these tuf try outs at random bars to find these fighters?

if mitrone had half decent stamina then he could have put him away. he hurt him literally every time he landed. junk only started to take the blows when mitrone got tired.
scott junk is junk. simple as.
ive seen how they hold the try outs. i'm very suprised it doesn't produce better contenders. it's not brillant but you should be able to get an idea of a guys ability.
they do a 2 min grappling round and then a 2 min striking round and then they do a face to face interview.
during the grappling round they are literally in fast forward trying to show as many skills as possible. transitions, talent, subs etc
and they were talking him up so much.
He was talking himself up and said he should win it and is confident in his abilities. His ability is zero and so was his cardio.
