or he surely will not get a future title shot.

he will only slide even futher down the rankings.

anyone else expecting that he maybe on the valuev - haye or vitali - johnson undercards?

maybe he should target ray austin if he beats williamson. that would be a winnable fight for meehan.

I heard he wants to gte on green v jones card? needs to do something. no one here in oz for him to fight though. I would imagine he would want ridiculous money anyway so can't see it.

Don King is just about useless in the game now. He sits on all his fighters. Reason? the mail is he can't get tv dates. So his fighters end up being opponents on other shows.

at least he is preparing well.

i'd hate for him to waste this opportunity because of complacency

Kali will be fighting Ruslan Chagaev for the interim WBA title with the winner to face the haye /ruiz winner.

Did anybody else other than me think he won the bout against Lamon Brewster in 2004?

Can somebody explain to me what an interim belt means? In the meanwhile, I'll just look it up.

I guess it means Don "Filthy Pig" King is out to make a few extra $$$. With Haye as WBA Champion, King will have no interest in matching him with any decent fighter for the next 275 years. So, why not just create an opening for other worthy contenders to mix it together for the 'interim' tripe and keep Haye safe??

i'm just astounded that after being shafted for 3 years that meehan has come out and virtually said that don king has assured that he will get his shot and is thankful for what king is doing for him.

the fact that kali has let all those involved dictate his career like they have for these 3 years and barely challenged any of them is the reason why he could still yet be another 2-3 years away from a shot and leave him simply too old too be competitive.

he was ranked no.1 for all that time and treated like a goose and i would have liked him to have come out publicly and blasted the wba constantly for dropping him to no.3 and replaced by ruiz who had had several shots and lost each one, including a fight for the mandatory spot.

just look at ruiz, he has whinged for the last couple of years even while he got every favour that was possible.
it couldn't make it any worse.
just think if ruiz were to beat haye, the rematches between ruiz, haye and valuev could go on for 2 years, and then with meehan waiting patiently he could be dropped again in that time and be another couple of fights away. not to mention if one of them gets injured and postpones any of the fights any longer.

meehan is 40 is he not?

do u think kali should try and get a ranking with one of the other belts while he is waiting and gets shafted more and more?

Dont believe everything u read or hear about him being thankfull
Close enough to 40
Shoulda been chasing other belts ages ago but withDon King in charge he's only looking after himself
