Doesn't say much on Wiki.
One of my first 'boxing' memories that, seeing Hoko on Wogan with the WBC strap.

Great, great British fighter, and I'll watch his son's career with interest.

Aye, I seem to recall they showed his left hook disposing of Frenchman Guy Bellehigue. For some reason, which I've never been able to fathom, the aggressive, crisp-punching Hoko was never a draw in Liverpool. He was punch-perfect at times.

A really good fighter. I watched his career from the amateur days and I knew when I was watching him he was gonna go all the way.
Surprising really that he's not remembered that much.
