Arreola really needs to bump his level of competition soon. I like watching him fight, and he has a LOT of room for improvement defensively, but wouldn't his defense improve quicker if he actually fought guys who tested him? A fight or two against a seasoned vet is in order for him, even if it's not someone elite. A Tank Williams type or a Fres Oquendo type (although Oquendo might be the one fighter who could make Arreola look boring) would be a nice step for him - I doubt either would be much of a threat to win, but they'd give him rounds and they'd use some veteran tactics that could prepare him for future fights against better fighters.

Sounds like an impressive performance by Arreola - a promising US heavyweight

A buddy of mine told me Arreola sparred alot with James Toney.
I don't know if he pick up any old school tricks from him, I don't think he has shown them yet if he has.

I stood next to this guy a few months ago and he is deceptively big. Not huge but big nonetheless. He was walking around with a group of tough guys. They looked pretty fierce.

He needs to fight someone real soon. No need to wait at this point, fighting bums and pretenders does nothing for him anymore... time to test his craft against legit guys.
