People say Coetzee was a big puncher but a lazy trainer............... WELL! Sanders is the same, but even more lazy than Coetzee.......... BUT! Sanders was a sneaky fast southpaw............. Either way, BOTH could win by KO over each other........ Sanders early or Coetzee mid-way / late..........

Coetzee was always up when fighting his countrymen, and never lost.

Coetzee in five-ish.

Just thinking of this myself. Coetzee would have had a very good career if he didn't have that trouble with his right hand. Given that it holds up, I wouls say he gets the KO.

Battle of the mustaches. Coetzee was tough and big, and could just as easily beat Sanders. Pickem fight really.

If we're talking about the prime Coetzee -- who beat Mike Dokes -- then he would have kayoed Sanders. The first few rounds might have been rough for Gerrie; possibly he gets knocked down once or twice. Still, Coetzee had a solid chin and very good boxing ability. Coetzee could move on his feet and box his way out of trouble if hurt by Sanders's left hand. Ultimately, Sanders's would tire, and that's when Coetzee would bomb him out.

Coetzee wins by stoppage somewhere between the 7th and 9th rounds.
