Anyone here box in London? Anyone inform me of gyms where you have had good experiences?

Also - at 26 right now, and was quite a strong 100m and 200m metre throughout school and university (managed 11 seconds dead at 100m and 23.2 at 200m), so the athleticism is there and still maintained, but having called up some gyms around islington, upon telling them my age they appear funny and say i have missed the boat, i only want to compete and see how it goes as I love the sport and on pure athleticism I think i can do well to begin with,.

Now, how many amateur fights can you have a year? how many have you guys had?

Its probably too late to become sugar ray leonard but concentrate on nailing the basics and your fitness and you have a chance of doing well.
