Its clear to everyone, that the David Haye camp....
Are coming to knocked "The beast" out..?
Whats going to happen if David Haye's power has "NO AFFECT ON THE BEAST"
I don't see David Haye beating "The beast" over 12 rounds...
The longer the fight goes, the more Dangerous it becomes for David Haye...
Being knocked out himself..."
Could be problems folks...
I think David Haye has the early stages of the mental illness....
"Prince Naseem Hamed syndrome.."

I have the same concerns.

He should just do what evander did. In and out all night for an easy ud. Carl Thompson showed that even a c class opponent which it what he was at the time walked through his big shots and in the end stopped him. I don't think haye has enough power to hurt valuev.

Haye has already been there before though, with the Thompson fight.

weren't you the same person who was advocating he go out there and do just that, go broke for the KO and satisfy your perverse lust for violence and blood?

Haye is a bigger guy than when he fought Thompson by a good 2 stone and has fully developed into his peak now though. I do share the same concerns however I also believe that people are over-egging Valuev's chin. I mean who has really detonated on him to get a gauge of whether his chin is all that?

Haye is saying allot of things, and his team, its all to build up the fight and sell it on Sky Box Office.
If haye was to say "I am going to box him the exact same was as everyone else that has had success with Valuev has done even though it was the most boring fight of all time.............and by the way he is not ugly or a freak" the general public would not get onboard.
This fight is the most non boxing fans have been talking about Boxing since Hatton vs Mayweather. People are buzzing about it. To the general sports fan this is a bigger fight than Haye vs Wlad/Vitali.

Valuev has better footwork than David Haye, this will be the difference.

Valuev is bigger with the average person in the street.
Wald or Vitali would have beenjust as big, maybe bigger with the casual boxing fan who parts with his cash though based on the people I have spoken to.

If Haye follows the blueprint laid down by Evander Holyfield then this will be the EASIEST night of his career. We know that, he knows that and what he has successfully been doing is sell this fight to casual and non-boxing fans.

But I'd say a higher percentage of the demographic who wouldn't normally part with their cash are going to in this instance. British sport fans who don't even necessarily follow boxing are going to fork out for this.
It's a freak show for the Heavyweight Title, and Haye upped the buy-rate immensley by doing Paul O'Grady & various other shows I reckon.

Exactly. Saw an interview with Haye a while back hinting that he would box and move against Valuev. Now that its PPV time its all "i'm gonna knock him out etc". Out of all the fighters out there Haye is one of the most clued up when it comes to self promotion.
Spot on with the remarks about non boxing fans too, all i'm hearing about from casual sports fans, people in the pub etc are about this fight, no one mentioned Froch and no one is mentioning Cotto Pac-Man either.

It's great thought isn't it mate? I love it. Reminds me of Benn-Eubank or something as far as the general publics' reaction has gone (on a lesser scale obviously). When your Mum & your Auntie are having a conversation about what time the fight kicks off you know a few are going to be tuning in.

Its great yeah in one sense, I just hope the fights not a stinker! In the other sense though i'm trying to explain to my mates to get into other fighters and they haven't got a clue! But yeah your right its cool everyone talking about this fight, atleast boxing is back in sort of general consensus - people talking about it in the barbers, pubs etc. And thanks to Paul O'Grady eevn the housewives and grandma's want Haye to bash that big ugly Russian!!!

:deal Totally agree mate. Haye is a genius at self promotion, look at the stir those t-shirts had. Haye wont go gung ho straight away, he will guage valuevs chin, and try and find his reach, and try to telegraph his punches then bang the beast will fall...

the major problem i see is that Haye grapples and holds his oppenents, watch his fights with Barrett, Fragomeni, Enzo, Mormeck he is always in the clinch, he cannot do this against Valuev.

I feel Valuev may walk through Haye's shots. If Haye can keep away from Valuevs pucnhes and keep going he may stop Valuev through accumulation.
I feel Haye will either A) get stopped B) lose on points.

Whoever David Haye hits, gets hurt...
David Haye does not understand points victorys..
This is the atitude David Haye has....!
Mentally, what will it do to him.....
When or if his power has no real affect on "The Beast"..?
Because i don't see David Haye winning a distance fight, the longer it goes....
The more dangerous it is for Haye..

I feel he will do this too. However, Haye's poor punch resistance will let him down. Fast he is, but he's no Sweet Pea. Valuev will clobber him at some point and even though he's a non-puncher that mass will put Haye over IMO

Are you thick or something? we've already seen what happens when Haye's punches have no effect; he gets stopped.
Mentally or whatever, if Haye can't knock Valuev out he'd better have something else otherwise he's getting stopped, regardless whether he's realised what's gone wrong or not.
Hopefully Booth will keep him calm between rounds and encourage him to shift tactics through rounds. However, taking rounds off or trying to keep Valuev at bay with clinching is not gonna work here as A) he will lose on points B) Valuev's weight/strength/chest hair will do Haye in

David Haye has to attack this fight, like Usain Bolt....
From the bell, he needs to set a fast pace....
If David Haye stands off too much, he will incounter "Problems"
If David Haye WINS this fight, i see him winning early.
3 - 4 round knock out or TKO.

yeah, Thompson was hurt numerous times.
The question is will it affect Haye mentally if Valuev walks through his punches?
The answer is; we have seen what happens to Haye when someone walks through his punches. he keeps going until his legs stiffen. Thompson was years ago and at Cruiser, but if a shot (but admittedly tough as fuck) Thompson could take Haye's punches long enough to stay in there and fight back, Valuev probably can as well.

This is a worry for me.
David Haye could kill boxing in this country, if he puts on a boring performance.

I just love how there is such an even spread of opinions on here from a lot of guys in the know ranging from a points win for Valuev to a knockout for Haye and vice versa. It's the unpredictability that makes this fight so intriguing! That and the number of variables just on the tactical approach of the fighters. I can't wait

Yeah, but whilst it's interesting at this point I wouldn't be surprised if the fight is less so. I really hope that, for the sake of boxing in this country, Haye can stop the big fella. Priority though is that Haye wins and, as others have said, the way to beat Valuev is through speed, movement... and discipline. Maybe Haye needs to win this one boring. Still... Imagine what a knockout victory would do for Haye's profile which would in turn be good for UK boxing.
