Another guy who talked loads of shit before the fight, and did nothing in it. Donald always had a decent chin though, only one of the Klistchkos stopped him I believe. He was so mobile earlier in his career but never had much of an offense. He just did circles in the ring. His jab wasnt evne that good.

that was low what bowe did made boxing look bad! shame bowe never had that same attiude towards a lewis fight he would change the subject as soon as big lennox's name was brought up, Bowe was a bully. Larry donald reminded me a liitble bit of ali and chris bryd

Yeah. Bowe was a thug and a bully, no dispute there.

Bowe was actually quite personable. A kind of gentle giant holly jolly guy out of the ring. Cant remember what Donald said to him but it was something personal.
Nothing compares to the Gonzalez fight where they were throwing water glasses at each other. :patsch

Overrated where? Here, on this forum? I don't know if I've seen him in anyone's top 10 at heavyweight. I saw the video. Did you notice how Bowe's right forearm caught Donald's shoulder before the punch landed?

That sounds like something out of a Fat Albert cartoon.

Donald had a class chin. Could sometimes be negative in the ring but I feel he laid down the blueprint to beat Valuev.

Would you say Donald was successful because he had a pretty good boxing style even though it lacked power and a really defining punch? Something that was very successful against the up and coming crap, I mean crop, of the mid 90's? :p

Donald was somewhat of an underachiever. He didn't have top end power, but his skills were more than solid and his chin was outstanding. He should've been awarded the decision against Valuev. I saw him beat Cooper with ridiculous ease.... now, Cooper wasn't all that, but if consider that he nearly stopped both Holyfield and Moorer, then it's something to take note of. He should've mixed it up with other contenders after the Bowe loss.
