I see they have him at JR Welter however I think hes fighting at lightweight from now on.

I Think hes got a fight in the states early next year.

Then I would say fight top aussies like Elomar or Ganoy......then over the next 12 months fight 1 or 2 guys like Escobedo, Rios or Molina who are top 25 yanks.

With Lenny fighting in the US in Dec and just signing on with Garry Shaw, he will be focused on oportunities there. Elomar is trained by Billy Hussein, who manages Lenny, that fight has zero chance of being made and Ganoy, whilst everyone wants to see it offers Lenny no real reward for risk. And certainly not a worthy risk when his contract allows him one fight per year in Australia. Garry Shaw's not going to let a budding champion and a potential stable star fight a high-risk fight here for a bag of lollies.

Great fight yes, in my opinion though - won't happen!

I was thinking Ganoy VS Lenny on the undercard of a Shaw event as the main support....and how could I forget the hairy one manages Elomar :D

He's in a good position. Being top 15 IBF means he can contest an elimination bout for the #2 spot. But I'm told they aren't in any rush to get that spot.

So with his ranking and US promoter he just needs to keep winning before petitioning for the #2 spot.

Two oz fighters who are largely unknown on a Showtime card?

Would never happen.

i dont believe im talking out of school when i tell you that rick thornberry believes lenny is a very good little fighter....

'very' good to rick means more than an aussie title, i would think..

noel says rick is an exceptional judge of boxing talent....

Nah, you wont be seeing it Ash.

Why would he pay for Ganoy (airfares, accomodation etc) to fight on his undercard in the US? He'l fight local fighters or maybe a mexican, puerto rican etc who have probably been on tv before. They will pick an "opponent" for Lenny. Ganoy isn't an opponent. Way too risky.

The ONLY way you would seee Zappa v Ganoy on Shaw's promotion would be if Ganoy got himself ranked high enough to contest the #2 IBF eliminator. Then Shaw may do that fight where he has options on Ganoy should he win. Even that's a stretch.

BTW..Ganoy is probably fighting Onikeke again in Dec. Jnr welter. I'm not sure Ganoy will go back to 135. All his fights since switching to Grange have been at 140.

Yeah I know what your saying sounds good.....I just think TV is evolving boxing and we will start to see some strange fights get PPV and earn good cash that we would have never seen before.

I mean next we will see is guys like Lovemore and Hattons brother be PPV features while Haye and Valuev miss out......:patsch

I hope not Kegs. Onikeke is shot and wouldn't last 4 rounds.

I wouldnt call Onikeke shot...i never really rated him that highly to be honest.
Just a very rough awkward fighter with a decent shot.
Onikeke only fights 1 way & thats going forward.
After being in many wars, i too do expect an earlier night than last time for Ganoy.
KO in 4 sounds about right, but it sure as hell would be explosive.:yep

He's finished mate. Ariel Omongos couldn't miss in the first round when he fought him then he got tired and to be honest, gave up.

Onikeke didn't win a round against Gostellow after that. Shut out. Actually, I think one judge gave him a round. He's cooked mate. Hasn't been the same after Ganoy. (not pumping Ranee up either when I say that)

He was unlucky to come out with the loss vs Ganoy, some of the worst officiating I've seen when the ref stopped it with Ganoy shaken then deciding to let them continue a minute later.

one in a million
